One of the most exciting steps of the history of Florence can be found in this 13th Century tower, only survivor of the four towers which once defended each corner of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. Now turned into a luxurious unique accommodation offering two suites and a fully equipped SPA. The tower, once owned by the Mannelli family, who in 1565 opposed the construction of the Vasari Corridor, whi

Do not overlook this truly amazing place to stay. If you want to be in the heart of Florence and savor the Italian atmosphere then you must stay here!!
I took my girlfriend here to get away from real life and to have a romantic time and WOW.....!
Spotlessly clean, very spacious and the view is unparalleled to anywhere i have been before. You are in the center of Florence so you have easy access to all the major parts of Florence. If you like to be in the center but to have privacy as well then you have this here. I am not the kind of person to go back to the same place twice, but i have already made plans to go back.
As a little tip - if you want to make it really special then email the owner and ask for something to be waiting for you both or something special for your loved one...perhaps a red rose with a loving message? The owner would arrange this privately for you and have it ready and waiting for you.
This place has to be on everyones bucket list!

I found the Torre Mannelli Suite and had high expectations for the property. I am pleased to say it exceeded my expectation and I would strongly recommend a stay there if you enjoy the history and unique experience of a one of a kind location. Our Host Milva, provided extra service as requested and the experience staying in this location of Firenze is amazing. The outdoor terrace, even in the middle of winter was a great place for coffee and biscotti in the morning. The best part is your personal spa on a second floor below the bedroom. A tight spiral staircase must be navigated to reach this room, which also contains the bathroom but It is all part charm and the adventure at staying in this kind of property.

The owner has 2 apartments in a condo building. We stayed at a smaller apartment on the 7th floor. The apartment has a small living room and a bedroom. It has 2 balconies. The location is central to everything and has great views.

The owner advertised it as a full service hotel, but it was more of an airbnb apartment without a kitchen. We were surprised upon our arrival that there would be no daily maid services. I had to make the bed everyday and wash dishes we used during the day. Even though we were there for 4 days, we only had one set of towels for each of us. We also ran out of some toiletries, and the owner was not able to replenish until after the weekend.

The owner was very nice and was helpful in getting us a taxi. If you don't mind cleaning up after yourself while on vacation then you would love this apartment. It was very clean, comfortable, with upscale furnishing, and two beautiful balconies.

We booked the Bardi Suite for a 3-night stay in Florence with really high hopes. Upon arrival we realized this is not a hotel, its essentially an airbnb (which was perfectly fine with us). The young man who checked us into the cute apartment was very nice and gave us some good dinner recommendations. The manager of the apartment, Milva, told us to contact her for any needs since there was no reception desk in the building. We wrote to her right away that the wifi wasn't working (my boyfriend and I needed wifi for work purposes), to which she much later replied that she will send someone to take a look. She never sent anyone and when we sent her followup messages, they went unanswered for the entire day. At some point she blamed the wifi not working on our own phones but that couldn't have been the case because the "internet" light on the router was not lit. I then messaged Milva that there was no hot water, she never responded to that either. I called her numerous times and still no answer. At this point we were completely outraged. Milva was the only point of contact for us, and had we had any greater emergency, her lack of responding could have been far more damaging. The day we were leaving she finally answered me and said "yes the wifi is broken sorry for inconvenience" without once acknowledging the fact that she ignored us the entirety of our 3 day stay. I have never experienced worse service than this especially at a "highly rated hotel". As nice as the view was in the apartment, Milva's poor service was enough to deter me from ever staying here again and I would not recommend anyone to either.

We booked this for 3 nights, but was very disappointed. The Barda suite isn't actually on the Ponte Vecchio as you are lead to believe, but actually on the side of it. The owner wasn't there to meet us,so I contacted the company that I booked it with and they got hold of her. She confirmed the telephone number we were calling was correct but said it never rang ! She got a friend to let us in. The elevator is a very tight sqeeze and stops at the floor below the suite. (The lift noise is very loud in the suite.) The friend didnt speak any English so we talked to the owner on the phone. We were given a book with info in and things we had to do. E.g. if there was water in the bathroom to contact her. But as the shower was in the bath with no door around it, the water went everywhere and we used the towels drying the floor up. The balcony looks lovely from the photos but you couldn't actually sit and look out easily as the walls are very high.
The welcome chocolates on the bed were bloomed, and the slippers provided made you slip on the floors. The only place to wash the plates etc up was in the bathroom sink and no washing liquid or cloths were provided.
The bed was comfortable and the position was terrific, but for what you actually got for your money I would suggest you go to a hotel. There was no Tower Ambassador available as stated on the web site. This was a real let down. I was pleased to leave this, I will go back to Florence but to a hotel with service and where I don't have to do the tidying up.

I'd love to be able to write a good review about the Torre Mannelli Suites, unfortunately what I hoped would be the experience of a lifetime turned out to be very challenging. I booked my stay through Jetsetter and pre-paid for my two night stay. It was NOT cheap, but my friend was flying in who I hadn't seen in 10 years and we were looking forward to the balcony view. However, when we arrived they had our reservation, but doubled booked the suite. The property owner was very nice and did her best to accommodate us. She re-booked us down the street in what we hoped would be comparable accommodating. NOT even close. Instead of spending our weekend over looking the Ponche Vechhio we spent it looking at a brick building with a guy using a microscope. We were less than happy and left a day early. When I asked for a full refund, the property owner didn't respond and her company said my guest and I "accepted" alternate accommodations. I don't think accept is the right word. We had no choice. The suites are not located in a hotel. It's more like an apartment building. There is no concierge service. More like an old guy who sits in a closet who doesn't really speak English. Overall, it was not a very good experience. Although in a great location, I would never risk trying to stay there again. My advice to anyone booking is to call in advance and confirm your reservation. Since I had complete confidence in my reservation before I went...especially since I pre-paid...I didn't.

Stayed in the bardi suite for a romantic break and was not disappointed. The suite is huge and 2 balconies so you can catch the sun in the morning and the evening. Buy some milk to enhance your breakfast experience, and the Jacuzzi bath is worth a try ;) Bed exceptionally comfy.

Staying here was lovely with a couple of exceptions; it's on the 7th floor and the elevator only goes to 6. With luggage and some mobility issues, it is a bit difficult. Lack of housekeeping was not a problem for us, but lack of supplies, towels, tissue, etc.was. Luckily we saw the housekeeper and got more. Close to restaurants and all the sites, it is like a little apartment rather than a hotel. But, if you want concierge services, this isn't for you. The manager is great and can recommend a tour company. A nice experience

Wonderful 2 night stay with gorgeous views and in a perfect location. Bliss sitting on the balcony looking out over Florence and deciding where to visit next. Milva, who met us on arrival, was incredibly helpful - including booking restaurants for us. We were in the smaller suite upstairs, which was lovely, and got an amazing deal through Secret Escapes hence can't really comment on value. However, would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Firenze. Deal or no deal!

We were in Europe for over two weeks and this was by far our favorite stay. The location could not have been better. We had a private patio which overlooked the water and a beautiful view of Florence. Everywhere we wanted to go was in walking distance.
The upstairs was the oversized bedroom which featured couches, a table, a small refrigerator, and a tv. The downstairs had a jacuzzi tub, exercise equipment, a Turkish bath, and a lovely bathroom . The place was welcoming with a bottle of Chianti and beautiful bath soaps. We would definitely stay here again.
