We stayed at Soprarno Suites in December. It was our first time in Italy hence we did our due diligence in terms of research on what hotel to stay at and finally narrowed it down to Soprarno Suites and trust me this was the best decision of our trip. We checked in a little late in the evening however had all the details on how to get inside the hotel, our keys were ready at the reception and finally the room, it was definitely one of the most spacious, comfortable and well planned rooms that I have stayed at, I myself am a hotelier and hence I tend to be a little critical of hotel rooms but each and every detail in the room was so thoughtfully placed . We stayed here for 4 nights and believe me when I say this, it genuinely started to feel like home. We loved the city but looked forward to coming back to our cosy hotel room. There was a Wine Bottle placed in the room with compliments which was a kind gesture and in terms of amenities, you actually have anything and everything you might need in a room including an electronic safe for your valuables. Breakfast was extremely comfortable in a smal, quaint cafeteria which has all the required items you need to fuel yourself before a long day. There is a relaxation lounge right next to the reception to unwind and small living rooms on each floor as well if you would want to relax outside your room. Post check-out we were also given the option of storing our luggage which was a bliss. Alexandra and Floriana were extremely courteous, professional and always greeted us with a smile . Alexandra has some great suggestions and recommendations on what to do in the city, do speak with her when you’re there. Thank you so much! You will definitely see us again.

We arrived after 4 pm, so there was no one to check us in, but we received email instructions on how to reach and access the property and our rooms.

Location-wise, it is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city center but still close enough to walk to the main attractions of Florence, so it was perfect for us.

The rooms, of course, vary. Some were, indeed, spacious, and each one was unique. I did not find the decor and styling of the room I stayed into my liking. I would also give cleanliness an 8 out of 10. It was clean, but it was not spotless. Dust and dirt accumulated in parts of the room. Another issue I had with my room is you could hear the street noise, especially the sound of passing cars.

There is a common area with a self-service fridge for bottled water, sodas, and pastries on offer. Other than that, there aren't many amenities or facilities on offer.

A basic continental breakfast is served in a café on the street level.

Service is good when available as it is limited to 8 am and 4 pm. No hotel staff is working outside these hours, but there is a number to contact in case of an emergency.

The room rates are reasonable, so all in all, I would recommend Soprarno Suites, especially if you spend most of your time outside the hotel exploring the city.

Our experience from beginning to end was top notch. Prior to our arrival we received an email with detailed instructions on the location of the property and how to access if we arrived after hours. Our flight plans got changed which caused us to arrive late, however it was an easiest walk from city center and the directions were easy to follow to get inside the property and to our room. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a tote bag.

In the morning we were able to get complete our check in and was introduced to the property. Breakfast is included in the restaurant on the ground floor where we had pastry and meat options, along with hard boiled eggs, coffee and juice. It was great to start each morning.

The property is in a great location within walking distance of high end shopping, many great restaurants, and cultural activities.

The room was spacious, large shower and comfortable bed.

The host was always welcoming and nice. We are going to leave early in the morning and they were able to coordinate a taxi to take us to the airport. On the day before our departure we were surprised with a bottle of Prosecco.

Overall this was a great place to stay. If we come back to Florence we will definitely stay again.

We could not have chosen a better location, 15 mins from the station and within easy walking distance to the historical centre, with Santo Spirito, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens only a street away.
The room was lovely, decorated with découpage and huge bed. The views were of internal courtyards but that was an advantage as it was extraordinarily quiet given the passing traffic. Barbara, our hostess, was helpful to the point of giving us her mobile in case we had issues out of hours.
Breakfast on the ground floor catered for everyone, with pastries, fruit, meat, cheese, juice and yoghurts, along with freshly made coffee.
Clean, large, unusual, friendly and authentic, I would stay here again. 5*

We had a fantastic stay at the Soprano Suites and felt this was the perfect base for our days in Florence. The hotel is peaceful and intimate and rooms spacious, clean and full of character. Whilst this is not a hotel, so don’t expect room service, 24/7 reception etc, there was always someone available to help and provide us with recommendations, advice, and to book taxis. We especially liked the honesty bar and the complimentary coffee in the upstairs kitchen, available all day and night. It felt really comfortable and homely, but still chic.

The location was perfect, in what was our favourite neighbourhood in Florence: less tourists and more locals and lots of great restaurants and bars round the corner (4 Leoni is great), whilst still being a 5 minute walk over the Arno to all the action.

We stayed in the ‘toy room’ on the First Floor which had a private entranceway, huge bed, lovely view to the courtyard and a large bathroom with a good strong shower. I’d highly recommend requesting this room. My only comment to the hotel, and it is a small thing, is that there were no drawers for clothes storage.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back!

Our stay at Soprarno Suites was really lovely. Floriana gave us excellent recommendations that were spot on for eating and shopping, and helped us make reservations for dinner. Our room was enormous with tall ceilings and so many quirky details, and we especially loved the soaking tub after a long day of walking around Boboli Gardens, which are a stone's throw away, and climbing to the top of Giotto's Campanile. The Oltrarno neighborhood is very wonderful, full of charming shops and restaurants and a bit quieter than central Florence north of the river which is much busier, but still only a 10 minute walk to anything.

Great place- stylish, large rooms with comfortable beds, good amenities, and great location- It is close to all tourist attractions but on a quiet street that is not overrun like much of the rest of the city center.

It isn’t a service hotel- so it that matters look elsewhere. The best way to think of it is that if you were an affluent, young, hip person maintaining a studio apartment in Florence, this is where you would buy and how you would furnish and decorate. Throw in daily cleaning, crisp sheets and bath amenities and the value proposition is clear.

Very charming hotel, with lovely ambiance a few minutes walk to the main attractions of Florence. The receptionist, Floriana was very helpful, outgoing and welcoming; I’ve been to many hotels in my more than 4 decades of globe trotting and Floriana stands out among those I’ve come into contact with. Breakfast was very complete with fresh pastries, fruits, cereals, meats, cheese, etc., and of course Italian expressos and cappuccinos. My wife and daughter were as impressed as I was with the quality of the room and service.

This hotel far surpassed my expectations. We arrived after the staff left at 4 and they sent us a detailed message as to how to get our key. Everything was seamless. The room was ADORABLE and spacious for a European hotel. Breakfast was a gem and the cappuccinos were fantastic. Everything was baked fresh. It is a small hotel and everything was so cozy. It is located a few blocks from the bridge and the area is way less crowded but filled with incrediblerestaurants. We loved it. GustaPizza is a block down the street and has the best pizza. Gusta Bar is across the street from the pizza place and you MUST go for aperitivo. Excellent drinks for 5 or 6 euro and an incredible owner. We would come back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is located in the heart of Florence and is a perfect place to exit from to tour the city. Floriana welcomed us is the nicest way possible. She is truly a sweetheart and made our stay even more spectacular than it already was. Our room was huge and well decorated. You can feel the local atmosphere from the windows view. The room was very clean and created a luxurious stay. The breakfast was very tasty and there were different types of pastries offered.

I honestly think that the price is low compare to the royal experience you walk out with. We loved everything about this pace! We will defiantly be back!

This is a wonderful place to stay and there's some great places to eat very close by. Highest on the list is Casalinga. But you have to book if you go in the evening! Lunchtimes you can mostly just walk in. It's very local and the food is wonderful. Not trendy or fancy, just proper Italian great food. There's a lovely little deli on the corner as you walk towards the river. Really friendly staff, good for coffee, wine, cheeses etc. But the reception staff at Soprarno will help too - they're wonderful! Have fun!
