We stayed in Villa Malavolta for two nights and found it to be an amazing experience. The property is about 10 min from the center of town and about 15 min from SMN train station via buses 11, 36 or 37. The buses run very frequently so we never had to wait more than a few minutes. We did take...

We stayed at this place for 1 night during our visit to Florence. This is a nice villa which is about 15 mts by road. This is not very close to the city though. We arrived early in the morning. We were allowed an early check-in that enabled us to catch up on some rest. It is an old villa...

Selected as a quiet refuge to return to after busy days exploring Florence's many attractions. This B&B was located close to a main bus route, but away from the downtown. The private garden is splendid.

We stayed 3 nights nights in the lovely old property which dates back to 1478. Donatella the host was extremely helpful in providing advice with bus routes and places to visit. Breakfast was taken at a large table where we enjoyed conversation with other guests.

Having stayed in historic Florence twice before and traveling this time in a car caused us to search for something outside the city. That internet search led us to the historic Villa Malavolta, and the effusive reviews by those who have been here before us (BTW, all spot-on) prompted the reservation. As mentioned in the reviews, it was a bit...

The B&B is conveniently located just outside of Florence with easy access by bus. Donatella & husband were excellent hosts, who have an amazing home from about the 15th century. The rooms nicely decorated and comfortable; the breakfast excellent. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Villa Malavolta for 4 nights and enjoyed our spacious room and the airiness of the property. If we return to Florence we will stay here again if possible. The Villa Malavolta is on the south edge of Florence. We found that it was easily accessible by bus. One caveat--bus tickets can be bought at the local...

On arrival we were greeted like long-lost friends...Donatella is such a gracious host. We were immediately comfortable and loved the Villa and the area. Bedroom and bathroom are well-equipped, every need has been anticipated. Tea and coffee-making facilities are above average with lovely china and silverware, and all rooms are so clean they shine. Access to Florence is easy, with...

Do yourself a favor and discover the REAL Florence and stay at Villa Malavolta. The experience is made all the more special by Donatella - a wonderful and gracious host. The villa is divine as are the gardens. To stay in a real Florentine street (well actually the villa is situated on the ancient road from Florence to Rome) and...
