Location, security and comfort. We had all of these at De’ Benci. The B & B is right next to Piazza San Croce. It has a warm traditional decore (furniture, carpets, pictures) and modern fixtures (bath, lights, card keys). Most importantly, we had the warmth and genuine hospitality of Carlo and his mother who provided us with a wonderful variety...

From the moment the big entrance door swung open and we walked up the hallway that took us into the De' Benci B&B we felt we were entering somewhere special. A secret hideaway in Florence reserved just for us. Carlo, the owner, and his mother made us feel very welcome and the B&B itself was stunning. Lovely spacious, clean and...

We were made to feel very welome by Carlo in his charming bed and breakfast. The location was spot on and suited us perfectly during our short stay in Florence. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated and we appreciated the use of the fridge for our cool drinks during our stay. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts each morning prepared...

We really liked the location of this B&B - it is very central and close to a lot of the main sights one goes to Florence to see. We thought that the rooms were quite nice and that overall, the B&B was charming and a great place to stay. Carlo and his staff were kind, friendly, accommodating and very helpful....

This is a centrally- situated and most comfortable b&b, round the corner from Santa Croce. Wonderful big bedroom with very comfy bed, good breakfast, extremely clean throughout. But the best thing is the warmth of the welcome. We were really made to feel most comfortable and will return in 2017. No doubt. Loved it- great value for money!

The De Benci b & b was once the home of one of Florence' prominent and very wealthy families of long ago. The rooms are very large rooms with beautiful decore. There is a large dining room and the breakfasts are excellent. Our host was Carlo who is charming and very helpful. The De Benci is a short walk from...

This is the second time I have stayed at De Benci B&B having stayed before several years ago on my first trip to Florence. I would highly recommend it and will be staying again when I return. It is perfectly located near to our favourite little street, Via Dei Neri which is full of bars and restaurants. The B&B is...

My husband and I had a great stay with Carlo at De'Benci. Nice spacious, clean rooms, large bathroom, great location. Only thing to note is De Benci (the actual street) is where most of the popular clubs/bars are in Florence for the college aged kids - so, it was pretty noisy every night until about 5am. If you enjoy your...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of the old city of Florence, just between Piazza Santa Croce and Piazza della Signoria, there is De Benci b&b, bed and breakfast in Florence, ideal base for visiting one of the most beautiful cities on earth and its art.The visit, the discovery of the capital of the Renaissance already begins within the walls of De Benci b&b.The atmosphere is very charming, stylish and romantic: you will be welcomed into elegantly furnished suites with every modern comfort (air conditioning/heating, private bathroom in room, digital lcd tv - DTV, internet connection, Etc.).The bed and breakfast is on the fourth floor of an ancient building (dating back to 1300) with the recent installation of modern lift. The thick and textured interior walls are painted rose. The doors are as light as ivory. Very wide windows let the light go in. The typical Tuscan floor and the ancient wooden-beam ceiling enrich the entire structure. In all over the place you can find small details in characteristic stone (i.E. Pietra serena), in ancient brick or in dark wrought iron and brass that decorate the environment, but soft colour and scent of wood reign over all. Every detail has been chosen with great care, taste and passion. ... more   less
