My wife and I arrived after an all day drive from Liguria excited but tired. Yet Even before we were escorted to our room, we were enchanted by the beauty and charms of the relatively newly-opened Ferragamo Portrait Hotel. Located on the Arno fifty meters from the Ponte Vecchio we could not have been better located. We were greeted at... More

This hotel was over the top! We loved every detail. The view of Florence couldn't get any better. The hotel is in the middle of everything you want to see. The decor is beautiful and the attention to details is apparent from the moment you check in. If all that wasn't enough, the staff was over the top! Before this... More

We stayed at Portrait Firenze in June and loved it. Our room was on the 6th floor and had a large balcony overlooking the River Arno. The hotel is 1 block from Ponte Vecchio. We also saw a fabulous 2 BR suite with a balcony. Leonardo, our butler, made our stay so easy. He was always in the lobby when... More

We recently stayed at the Portrait Firenze and it was the absolute best hotel experience we have ever had. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated amazingly well. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were led to a seating area and offered beverages. A guest assistant then joined us, checked us in... More

The hotel is very beautiful designed throughout. Location is walking distance to everywhere (both side of a Arno River). Breakfast buffet did not include any hot dishes but was very adequate with quality food. We did have a little hiccup with water leaking in bathroom but hotel took care of it immediately. This hotel is owned by the Ferragamo family,... More

This hotel is mere steps from luxury shopping, wonderful restaurants and of course, the sights. Our room was stunning! We have views of the Ponte Vecchio, which was very brown, dirty looking water- not pretty. But, our room was!! The attention to detail was something I marveled at, endlessly. The gorgeous shower with a chrome "porthole" window, the paint color... More

The 34-suite hotel with a delectable view of Ponte Vecchio, stands on the historical site of the Grand Hotel Royal de L’Arno, a popular watering hole in the 1800s. Charles Dickens and Henry James were regular guests as were the master goldsmiths from the vicinity. Owned by the Ferragamo family the hotel is an artistic haven. Pale olive furnishings, Egyptian... We were very tired and frustrated because we had never traveled to Europe and we had no idea what we were doing. We had rented a car from Monoco to Florence and we chose this hotel due to the beautiful reviews and it's location. When we finally arrived we were warmly greeted where we sat in the beautiful lobby. My... More

We stayed at the Portrait Firenze with our 2 children ages 9 and 12 in early June. We stayed in a suite and it worked out perfectly for us. The rooms are more on the size of a NYC hotel room, but there was plenty of room for us. Our kids slept on a comfortable pull out and had their... More
