nice and clean hotel but a bit away from the city center. so u need to walk 20 minutes one way to get to the center so no other issues. rooms are clean and tidy with good breakfast. nice place if walking is not an issue.

Pros: This was a very very nice hotel. And under different circumstances I would have given it a 4 or even 5 star rating. The towels were all nice and clean, the room nice and spacious, amenities included were varied and welcome. The bathroom was very big which was welcome after several cramped hotel bathrooms. In fact this one was... More

Me, my husband and six year old daughter spent 5 nights here at the end of October. The hotel is located in an old traditional building in a very pleasant area of Florence, close to the river and a lovely park, about 10 - 15 minutes stroll from the train station and into the historic city centre. Tram stop around... More

Very good service, location was pretty good, close to the tram railway which connects to the train station... etc... Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and quantity, and tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpful especially Gabrielle. Room was a little old fashioned and slightly depressing but it had everything we needed so we weren't bothered. Was there with... More

Please note that in case of cancellation the hotel charges for the entire sum without any consideration to the circumstances. This is very unfair. We do not recommend this place to anyone. The cancellation was made 24 hours ahead.

Dear Sagit we do offer a "standard" rate and a "non refundable" rate, the first has a flexible cancellation policy and you could cancel your reservation with no penalties, but you choose to book the hard discounted "non refundable" option. I mean... nothing more than this :( My best - Lorenzo More

We had an excellent stay in this fine hotel in very nice area of Florence. Up-to-date amenities. Wonderful breakfast dining room with wide choice of quality meats, cheeses and pastries. Professional, helpful front desk staff. Short walk to convenient, electric bus into center of city. A great value. Thank you previous Trip Advisor reviewers for steering us to Hotel Crocini!

Choose the hotel as parking was included and this hotel had decent reviews on here. But let me put it straight except the parking nothing is worth writing. Pathetic breakfast, extremely small rooms with carpet stinking, wireless internet do not work most of the time... Surely there will be better option around than this one.

Dear Keyur I see you write this now in October and you say you were here in May, I am sure you made a mistake, this is not the hotel where you've been to. First of all the parking is not included in the price of the room and it is an extra, exactly Euro 15.00 per day, second we... More

Staff were very friendly and facilities were great. Location very good as was secure private parking. Wifi free and worked well. All in all a very good choice of hotel. A room with a balcony would have been nice but wasn't available. No one's fault.

Only a 10 minute walk from the train station, this hotel is clean, basic yet charming. Close to the Ponte Vecchio, and a breakfast option available for a good price, perfect to fuel you to explore the city.

Situated on the northern bank of the River Arno at the western end of the city centre this hotel is just a short walk from all of the sights in this magnificent city. Although somewhat dated and tired, it has a quaint old world charm which matches the 70 year old lift. Rooms are perfectly adequate albeit the shower could... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
