Just returned from Corona fearful city, real shame seeing all bars shops restaurants etc really struggling, the staff I chatted to were understandably fearful for their jobs, tourists are staying away despite no travel bans & several hundred miles from the effected North which is in lockdown. Anyway that aside the hotel was just the job for a city break. The flight from MAN was 1hr 55 the train from Pisa was 1 hr 10, it makes no difference if you buy train tkts online beforehand or at the station the price doesn't change €19.80 for 2, you will need €5pp for the Pisa Mover monorail from the airport to Pisa Central. Upon arrival @ Firenze SMN station use the right side exit down the steps turn right & follow the tram tracks right to the Embassy door 10 min max. Check in a breeze & room ready early, staff were all welcoming & ready to please, the brekkie was excellent, all manor of fruit, yougurts, pastries, cereals etc in a nice cellar type dining room with smart & clean attentive staff. The room was fine only 2 gripes, not 1 English channel on tv so couldn't really catch up on event's ( it's not the same on yr phone) & the room had an unreachable skylight which was covered with a thick blind which defeats the object really, the room could of done with the extra natural light really as the only window was only 1ft and waist high so wall lights & lamps were always required. The city is within walking distance with bars & restaurants a plenty en route our fave was The Joshua Tree €5 a pint the cheapest we drunk. All in all we had a lovely time but the virus threat deffo took the shine off it & lost a Venice trip in the process so it's yr call if you're due to go anytime soon. TIP - Set off a bit earlier to the airport & you can incorporate a Pisa tower trip, get off train at Pisa Centrale as you would anyway for the airport, then leave & your bag @ left luggage on the platform (5 Euro) or walk with it depending on your tightness!! Come out of the main entrance & walk in a straight line for 25 mins, loads of people I saw on the return flight were there with the same idea.…
Pleasantly surprised, near the train station easy walk into the center. Room was good with a terrace, breakfast was good, set you up for the day . Breakfast staff helpful. Would certainly stay there again
Location perfect, walking distance from station, trams and sights. Our room was lovely, think it was the family room because it had an extra bedroom and toilet! 6ft comfortable bed, tv, stocked mini bar, terrace with table and chairs, lovely fluffy towels changed every day. The breakfast was fabulous. I am vegetarian and my partner a meat eating Italian. There was so much to choose from. Fruit of many varieties, yogurt, pastries and cereals, jams and spreads. On the other counter there was salami and mortadella, scrambled egg sausages and bacon, ricotta, salads and rolls. To my delight they had an automatic pancake making Machine with 4 flavours of sauce. In the bar area there was often free tea and pastries and newspapers in a comfortable sitting area. If travelling to Florence this is an ideal base and we had a delightful stay.…
Hotel close to train station less than 10min walks to firenze smn. Walking distance to duomo, ponte vecchio, piazza della signoria and square of miracle . You can see a bit of duomo from your hotel room.
Have stated here for past 2 nights, to start with hotel is located amazing junction, very close to station , well connected with bus, train , tram. Rooms are clean and thts where the fairy tail ends. They have marked themselves as 4* I think it's 2* , no service, no bottles of water even after reminding , no hot water kettel, air-conditioning is off, till u don't complain they won't put it on making u feel suffocated , no tea or coffee in the room , breakfast is below average cause of lack of options, for vegetarians there was one option "BREAD". Considering such low options it's very highly priced . Unless location is all ur looking for I won't recommend explore other options.
