We had an unforgettable time at Relais Santa Croce. A very professional service, the quality of the restaurant is exceptional, we really appreciated this level of taste quality and the choice of revisited Tuscan dishes, a treat. The same goes for the Tuscan wines offered by Carlo the butler who with kindness and benevolence totally orchestrated our dinner. This box was offered to us by our family for our wedding, it was a great success that we will never forget because coupled with the charm of Firenze and the proximity of all the major cultural and historical sites. We will definitely be back! Thanks again to the entire Relais Santa Croce team
Absolutely worth it. Staff members make the stay memorable and hotel is beautiful. Great location. Rooms very nice and good size. The breakast delicious and the area of the hotel nice and quite. Very easy to walk every where.
On the event of my husband's 70th birthday, I reached out to the Relais Santa Croce directly for assistance in creating a memorable trip for ourselves and 12 of his closest friends. Flora, and ALL the staff at this beautiful 'Palazzo Hotel', could not have been more helpful, accommodating and sincere. They assisted in creating an amazing 5 days in Florence, uniquely curated to all our needs - museum tours, wine tours in the countryside and fantastic restaurant reservations. Besides Flora, the General Manager and the excellent front desk staff....Carlo and the Food and Beverage staff, facilitated an amazing in-suite Welcome Dinner for 12 people, special group lunches, and a kept our in-suite hospitality bar stocked and operational for 5 straight days. All these services were done with exceptional professionalism but also warm and sincere friendliness. Even though we were a bigger party, and lots of 'moving parts' we were never made to feel that any of our requests were a bother, or not achievable. In summary, although we have stayed all over the world in 5 and 6 star hotels, and in many Relais & Chateaux ....I would consider this one of the top 10 hotels we have ever stayed in in regards to service. Thank you for a truly amazing trip.…

I decided to write a review just to say thank you to the entire team of the hotel. We came to celebrate our anniversary and they all have been amazing. Since our arrival they have been so warm and attentive, we found a nice gift in our room, we were upgraded in a cosy junior suite and they took care of our booking at Enoteca Pinchiorri for our celebration. Really beautiful people in a beautiful hotel. What an incredible stay!
We booked a long weekend just to get away from everything and explore a new City. Florence is wonderful. Super sights, history and tons to do. We will be back! And we will stay here again - we won’t even consider other hotels. A truly remarkable place. Super staff and the most amazing location to allow us to walk everywhere. We had a reasonably major glitch (things go wrong sometimes,) but it is how these things are dealt with that sets a venue apart. The AMAZING staff dealt with a slightly grumpy me brilliantly. From the moment we arrived in our taxi to the taxi door closing on our way home, every single member of the team was exceptional. ‘Trainee’ as we insisted on calling Lucrezia, was superb - without her ‘Trainee’ badge, we would never have known. She is lucky to be learning from such an excellent team. I won’t list every member of staff as I will end up forgetting someone… We were lucky to be in a lovely suite which was large and spotlessly clean. Excellent bed and we had to tear ourselves out of it in the mornings for breakfast. That was well worth the effort in the most special breakfast room. The whole building was truly special and full of character. I cannot remember the last time my wife got a little upset leaving a hotel (especially for a long weekend) and she was almost teary. It was that special a venue and trip which was made even better by our stay here and the incredible team of staff. Thank you all and see you again. Ps - this is probably against policy to comment on other reviews but read the good ones - there is a theme. I don’t recognise the Hotel in one review below…..…
Nicely located and with good common areas, the property is quite worn out it seems. Absent sound insulation, outdated bathrooms (what is the point of stand-only steam bath in the shower?), poor air-conditioning, instant Nescafe (not Nespresso!) in the rooms is really not my expectations from R&C property.
we stayed here for 3 nights and considering how many beautiful hotels there are in Florence we definitely chose the best! every single member of staff went the extra mile from the minute that we arrived. There was an issue with (or lack of ) aircon in our room and once this had been flagged before we went to dinner expected it to be resolved upon our return. Unfortunately it had not been rectified but the way that the staff dealt with the issue was first class - they immediately moved us to an adjacent room (at gone midnight )! and checked the aircon regularly for the rest of our stay. Location of the hotel is perfect for all the sights - breakfast room beautiful - but it is definitely the staff that make this place the best ! Thank you everyone for making our first trip to Florence so memorable - especially Giovanni and Lucrezia in reception and Elena at breakfast - cant wait to return!…
A top-notch luxury hotel that matched or exceeded our expectations for service, amenities, and overall quality, while simultaneously managing to be genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. Located in the absolute heart of the historic city center, the Relais Santa Croce was a perfect refuge from the crowds, and base camp for our explorations, We can't recommend it highly enough.
When travelling I usually choose the hotels. Our friends picked Santa Croce. It was amazingly large. We were greeted with a glass of champagne. Since there were 8 of us check in took a bit of time. The stairways were gigantic. It was quite a jaunt up all the stairs. But...when we got to our room it was well worth the climb. The rooms are spacious by Italy standards. Every staff member was as kind as they could be. The breakfasts were tasty. When in Florence again we will stay here.
