What a shame ! In Florence for work for the Pitti Uomo ! They lost our reservation for many rooms, gave them to other clients while they charged us for them !
Did not find any solution. We were on the street and all hotels...More
Sorry that I have to share these memories.
Hotel Cardinal has basically cheated us to get a ugly, dirty flat as alternative because of their overbooking during the pitti uomo last week. we prebooked, paid rooms for arround 5.000 EUR. and never got a single...More
Situated in strong center, with a breathtaking view from the terrace! Long way up but it's definitely worth it. Staff is very kind and helpful. On the arrival there was a bottle of prosecco waiting in the room, gently offered by the staff.
The Hotel Cardinal isn't a hotel, it is what used to be known as a pensione. I.e. A bed and breakfast. It does not have a restaurant, bar or lounge and it is on the third floor of a multi-occupancy building. There is no lift....More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
