An average hotel (no elevator) with nice but absolutelly not efficient staff. Our room was still not ready at 13 o'clock (they knew that we arrive at 11), we had to leave our luggage on the reception ; besides we got a normal room instead of a panoramic view as booked. The rooftop is nice, but really tiny. Breakfast is... More

We stayed in this hotel for three nights, the staff were very friendly, the room was lovely and the roof terrace was lovely for a glass of wine before going out for dinner. The breakfast was great. The only downside was that the hotel is on the fourth floor of a building with no lift so you have to walk... More

The hotel location is very convenient. Walking distance to every tourist attraction. Rooms are clean and spacious. Nice roof terrace overlooking the Dome, and great sunsets. Breakfast was OK. Good service at the reception desk. One of the best restaurants of Florence is located just 20m next to the hotel entrance (La Giostra). There is a valet parking 100m away,... More

Centrally located on quiet street, 3rd floor (without elevator), stunning roof top terrace with great staff, really helpful and friendly in a personal way. Rooms have ac, are nicely decorated and have what you need. For a longer stay you may like elevator and larger rooms but for a few days it is really worth the money.

Lovely location and a quiet area with lots of places nearby to eat. However there is no lift for when you need to carry luggage etc. The WiFi did used to go off altogether which was frustrating. The staff are great.

Kudos to the crew at the Hotel. They looked after me and accommodated my every need as a solo traveller, with great tips and local knowledge. A great room with a fantastic terrace, you can see the Duomo easily and it is a perfect place to have a drink or coffee! Would definitely stay again!! Grazie!

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, a 15-20min walk from the train station but well worth it to stay in the nicer part of the city. The number of bars and places to eat in the immediate area is fantastic - a short walk from Santa Croce which... More

I Booked this hotel and I accidentally booked the wrong night. I emailed them to ask if I could switch nights, but they told me it was impossible as they had no availability. I made a small mistake, one that most people can make. I gave them enough notice and they told me they cannot refund my booking. I was... More

Other then having to tote luggage up three flights (staff helped), this hotel is really wonderful. Staff is very helpful. Provided breakfast everyday with nice selection of food, nice presentation. Beds were very comfortable.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
