So and so hotel, a bit smelly, great breakfast, warm room. The girls at the desk were pretty nice to us. I didn't like the prices for using a rental car and there is a big problem with parking and zona 0 fees.

Being a first timer in Italy, this hotel is not hard to find. Arrived Florence via train from Padova. Just walk to one of those narrow streets and you will hit Arno river. Stayed there for 3 nights. Reception is on the 2nd floor. Leave the room key before you leave the hotel, they have big and heavy key chain.... More

The room was quite small and dated but we were hardly in it so didn't really mind. The hotel is quaint with some lovely old features. The staff were very friendly and helped us park the car (not easy!). The location is fantastic - we were able to walk everywhere. It also has amazing views. We would definitely stay here... More

The location is great right on the river 2 blocks from Ponte Vecchio. The rooms are quite large for Italian standards with incredibly high ceilings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the included breakfast was wonderful. Would highly recommend..especially for the price!

I have no complaints about our stay at Hotel Bretagna. It's main selling point is its amazing location with all the sights within and easy walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is 30 euros a night in the hotel car park.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Bretagna. The room itself was very large with tall ceilings . Unfortuanetly bed is not comfortable and blanket has not cover with bedclothes. It must be quilt. Staff at the reception was very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was so excellent for Italy and a lovely view of the river with beatiful sunsets.... More

Pay the extra money to get the room facing the river Arno. It's so worth it and you get an amazing view of the bridges and beautiful Florence landscape. Buffet breakfast was delicious. They had ample of choices to fit your dietary preferences. Location is perfect walking distance to popular shopping areas, galleries/museums and other must see tourist spots.

We stayed for two nights in a Junior Suite with River View at Hotel Bretagna. The room itself was very large with tall ceilings and a lovely view of the river with beautiful sunsets. Note that the air conditioner needs to be turned on by remote and there is no actual thermostat to check the temperature. However, the room temperature... More

This 17th century hotel was lovely. Friendly, capable staff, updated bathroom and very comfortable bed - not too hard, not too soft, but just right!. Our room was a junior suite, high ceilings, quiet, simply furnished with an amazing view over the Arno River. It was walking distance to all of the old city center. The room was available early... 5 nights in florence with room over looking the river. Great views if you can get a riverfront room - we were upgraded by accident!!. Easy walk to all attractions. Clean modern rooms; quiet nights. Would certainly stay again.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
