It is easy to get lost in Florence so being on the river helps with navigation. Breakfast was excellent though the toaster doesn't toast Our twin room was large enough but the shower over the spa bath was a challenge. And the ironing board has seen better days. The staff were great all very friendly. Overall we had no complaints... More

Their website makes the hotel looks amazing, it does not look as nice in person. Reality didn't quite match the pictures on the website. The room was old, shower curtains caused water to go everywhere. There were no screens on the window. It did not close tightly and a lot of mosquitoes were in the room. I left with so many mosquito... More

I found Hotel Bretagna on booking.com and took it for its price actually. The bargain price on booking.com was enough to make me decide to book, considering the advantage of its very central location. It's around 7euro by taxi from the train station, a ten minutes drive. We were on foot going to the Uffizzi, Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo... More

The hotel situated in the city center, just next to the riverside. In the same time, it's a quite place. Very good location for the morning jogging along the river. The stuff was very helpful. The breakfast was good. Nice room but poor wall insulation.

Great location, lovely staff, and an amazing room. We loved the hotel, right on the river and an easy walk to anywhere in Florence centre. I specifically asked for one of the larger rooms which I found on checking in are decorated with the original ceiling frescos, absolutely amazing! The room was giant, furnished in comfortable antiques and vintage furniture.... More

We loved this hotel with one exception the car parking charge which was very expensive. Access is by a very slow lift to the first floor reception but once there the staff were charming and efficient. Room was stunning with the most wonderful ceiling painting. Facilities all worked.Breakfast which was excellent was served in a nearby Cafe overlooking the river... More

Spent a night at this lovely hotel right by the river and the centre of Florence. Walk away from the cathedral and statue of David. Little bonus like being able to print off the boarding passes made the stay easier. Really good buffet for breakfast and amazing views! Car was parked for a charge but was worth it as no... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
