Suzanna and Gabriella made us feel right at home! The location of this B&B is perfect for any sightseeing in Florence. We were given directions, suggestions and detailed information about the Florence area. The rooms are typical for Florence but the breakfasts are to die for! These ladies know how to make you feel right at home! There are plenty... More

Our stay with Gabriella was perfect for the three days we were in Florence. Stepping out the front door you are in the heart of the city with museums, churches, markets and the Duomo within easy walking distance. Gabriella and Suzanna are helpful and enthusiastic, and gave us great directions for all our explorations. The breakfast was lovely with yogurt,... More

Great location, great service. Very quaint little place. English speaking staff is very helpful. Our bathroom and room were smallish, but clean and in good order. Breakfast is generous with fruits and yogurt and great coffee, cappuccino or chocolate made by hostess. Rooftop terrace is a great bonus! This is the kind of place that draws excited travelers who love... More

We couldn't have chosen better place to stay for our I night stay in Florence. The rooms were charming, cozy and very quiet. The highlight was the spectacular roof top deck with panoramic views of the city. The location could not have been more convenient; everything to see and do was right outside the front door. Suzanne was amazing and... More

The hosts were lovely, the owner is Canadian and the assistant was American, and how happy we were to get directions when we called and they were in clear English! They gave great tips on how to prioritise our time as we only had a short stay. The room was lovely, but the rooftop terrace and the breakfast was the... More

Stayed with family of 5 in one room. Suzanne and staff were excellent. Very helpful before and during our stay. Help provided before and during trip helped us make the very most of short stay in Florence. Early start for duomo and the excellent secret passageways tour of palazzo vecchio based upon that advice. Little things made a difference like... More

The building was built around 1500 and has lots of charm. Rooms are basic but provide all we need for a comfortable stay. You can sit in the common area or venture up to the rooftop terrace. You will need to be able to climb lots of stairs to reach your room (no elevator). Central location puts it close to... More

A lovely B&B in Florence. The best location for seeing everything but still quiet as you are on the top floor. The building is full of character, the ceilings are amazing and there is a pretty roof terrace with views over the rooftops of Florence. Gabriella is a great host and its nice to chat to other guests over breakfast.... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights in a room near livingroom space. We absolutely loved our stay. It was located in the safe, clean area, and pretty close to everything (main tourist attractions, shopping area, vecchio bridge) the staff was really helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was lovely and we were able to get tea or coffee anytime we... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
