Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the hotel for the first 4 nights of our 12 day trip. This was meant to be a makeup for our honeymoon, that we weren’t able to take due to covid and it did not disappoint. It is about a 3/4 mile walk to main attractions, but to get a private room, bathroom, and terrace for the price it was well worth it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful with any questions we had, and made great recommendations for nearby cafes. The room was very clean and the view was incredible.

I had a very nice experience at Hotel Masaccio which was exactly what I expected: of course, the rooms do not have the best commodities, but you really get a very nice stay for very little money! The room was clean and good looking. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and kind, which made me feel very comfortable and welcome. They gave me a kettle in my room based on a special request from me, which was very helpful of them! Two small comments: there was a lot of noise from the bedroom next to mine and from the street, but I might have been unlucky. It also smelled often like recent cigarette, but again, that might be that someone was smoking at this exact date! The location is perfect, all workers were helpful and flexible and the hotel is charming. would recommend!

Great place to stay! I flew in late, and the staff were very accommodating for a late check in. They have a great list of local recommendations, and the staff were always very kind. The rooms were clean and made up each morning. The location just a few minutes walk away from large tourist attractions like Duomo, but not in the middle of everything so you can still enjoy some peace and quiet as you sleep. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in Florence.

The food they served me at dinner was excellent! They were always very attentive to what I needed. It was only me in the hotel, because of covid they had no other guests so the shared bathroom was mine alone, the problem with a shared bathroom is that you don't know how long the other guests will occupy it for, but fortunately I didn't have to deal with this.
There was a lot of noise coming from the street, as in, a LOT. I had earplugs so I was able to sleep but I would recommend having some when you come here.

Very nice room, with shower and wash-basin. TV and WiFi free and reliable. Parking garage for 18€/night just 100m. Very helpful staff, keen to assist with daily plan. Location 12 mins to the very center - excellent for Firenze. Street noise is not hotel mistake, just a night life in Firenze. Supermarket next to the hotel with anything you may need for evening or as a gift (wines, cheese, pasta). Honestly recommended hotel.

I had a room good enough for traveling on my own. It was quiet and had a nice view onto the garden below. Unfortunatelly, I booked a room just either a fan which was a big mistake as the temperature didn't drop below 36 degrees during the day. The owner, Alessandro was very kind and helped to resolve the issue promptly.

I had never stayed at a one-star hotel before, but I can now imagine staying again at Hotel Masaccio. The location was great, the room as well as the shared bathroom were clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The street noise can be an issue for some guests, but it was no big deal for me.

Hotel was nice and clean. Small bathroom very typical of Italian hotels. Needed some air circulation like a fan as the room was quite warm. Great morning menu of coffees, location is a bit above the town but easy to walk to everything. Furthest walk was 30 min to train station.

We had a pleasant stay in Firenze! The staff is very friendly! A nice place to stay near downtown. If you are looking for a cheap place near the center here's the place. The toilet is shared but nothing to worry.

Nice, cozy hotel, very conveniently located in the center, in a quiet area, all the sights, entertainment places, supermarket within walking distance.
Very cozy balcony. Delightful staff, very polite and helpful. The room is simply furnished, but has everything you need and clean. The price is fair. I stayed at the hotel for a week and once again I want to emphasize the delightful attitude of the staff to the guest. I would rate it average/good but because of the personal I rate it Excellent.
