This is a great little hotel that offers fantastic value with breakfast included. What's more the breakfast lounge is situated on the fourth floor overlooking the city. The rooms are clean and tidy with all the usual features there is also a roof terrace with great views. This is well worth staying at and centrally located to all attractions.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and were fine with the accommodation. In terms of location it is very close to the centre of Florence but so are most hotels! (It's hard not to be close). The front staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was quite pleasant. In general the rooms... More

Ladies staff from the morning to the afternoon were nice and helpful. Housekeeper changed towels everyday. 오전, 오후 중으로 있었던 여성 스탭분들은 비교적 친절하고 도움을 주려 했습니다. 타월은 매일 갈아주었습니다. Too many mosquitoes in November. I should have slapped them all before falling asleep. The guy at the reception at night seemed a bit bored of this work. He always... More

I only stayed here for one night. I wasn't expecting anything great, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The photos really don't do this place justice, it's really more charming in person. It's about a 20-30 minute walk from Firenze S.M.N., depending on the load you're carrying and how fast you walk. It's very easy to get... More

Hotel is easy to find, just about 10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. It is actually in historic part of the city. The view from my room was really panoramic. Room was clean, bad could be a little bit better, but then again it's a three star hotel. Breakfast was really good and while eating I had... More

Clean, nice place with very friendly service. Very good breakfest with plenty of food. Well located - 15 min on foot to the city centre. For the money paid (~£40 per room) really good value. You can drop off your luggage at the rexeption before check-in and then you will conveniently find them in your room. Also after checking out... More

I have just come back from a trip to Florence where I stayed in this little gem. I really loved the stay there. Very, very friendly staff, nice and arty, cheerful place, with a panaramic terrace for everyone to use and really great breakfast. I loved the smell of the breakfast lady's homebaking- cakes, quiche, bread...

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
