We stayed at Lady Florence B&B for 3 nights - me, my wife and son - in the room with the en-suite bathroom. The sun was blazing when we arrived and the tall French windows let in a lot of light. The room was spacious, enhanced by the high ceiling, and we had a kettle with which to make tea... More

We got the room with separate private bathroom. Our room is pretty and spacious, same with the bathroom, with basic amenities but spacious. It's worth it with the fair amount paid. The place is near the Accademia and Duomo.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a twin room with my friend and it was really great price/quality ratio, the location is very central on short walking distance to all major attractions, breakfast was excellent and the room was always clean and provided with tea, coffee and chocolate, the bathroom was clean with nice bath kits provided on daily... Location is VERY central, but not too touristy. Accommodations very comfortable. Host very helpful. Take his suggestion and go to "il vezzo" for dinner!! Clean, comfy bed, refrigerator in the room, parquet floors, no carpet (love that about euro hotels), I wish all hotels were this great!

This cosy b&b is an excellent choice for those who want something not very expensive, central and friendly. We stayed there for 4 nights. Our double room had a private bathroom. It was a clean and big enough room for us. the breakfast served in a small kitchen or in your room was of the sweet kind(some croissants, cereal, coffee etc).... More

Alessandro, the owner is a very kind person. I strongly recommend him and Lady Florence for a trip in the capital of Toscana. The emplacement of B&B is fantastic: in the historical center of Florence, near all of the city attractions. It was not very clean in the room and in the bathroom. It was ok, but not so clean... Lady Florence was the most convenient place to be in Florence. The location was amazingly close to the Lady Florence Cathedral and the Baptistry (The Door to Paradise). Not too frugal, but you will get everything you need. Superb cleanliness and service. Book in advance for the weekends though.

Lady Florence was very convenient for us. It was nice to have a two room suite for us and our two boys. Beds were very comfortable. Room very clean. Our view was of the Duomo - beautiful. The breakfasts were basic, but good. We had our own bathroom, which was perfectly appointed. For a B & B it is a... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
