This small (6 rooms) hotel is located on the 4th floor of an old building which used to house a cinema (now The Hard Rock Cafe). Room was beautifully decorated. And modern with all the facilities required. The wood floor and cast iron radiator were a nice touch. The modern shower room was spotlessly clean and included a bidet. One... More

I stayed here with my partner in August. We had the best time. It's lovely accomodation. Clean and comfortable rooms. Right in the middle of Florence CBD. We recommend this place highly! Would stay here again if we could.

This hotel in the best location ever for exploring beautiful Florence. The rooms are exceptionally clean and cosy. The rooms are fully air conditioned, which is perfect with the high temperatures outside. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious. The locations is amazing. It is in the heart of the Old City, within the waking distance from all Florence attractions. Our room was clean and well preserved. The air conditioning works fine, which is very important when the temperature outside is 35 degrees. The staff is very nice and welcoming, willing to meet all guests's needs.

This is a small B&B with only 4-5 rooms located on top of the hard rock caffe. The building used to be a famous cinema in Florence , so this is a B&B apartment between offices !! The air conditioning is perfect but the rooms are very small with smaller bathrooms , they only have one suits. The location is... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location - it's right in the heart of Florence. We were caught off-guard when we arrived and were told that Gambrinus was no longer a B&B, just a hotel, but there are plenty of cafes and pastry shops by the square which serve as great breakfast locations. As the person before me... More

Service is just terrible. It ruins the whole experience from the stay. When we arrived there was a note on the reception door, with a phone number to call. We had to do an international roaming call and the guy told us he was having lunch (it was 4pm) he arrived after almost 20 mins and told us that he... More

I'm sorry that the service has not been satisfactory for his needs. is true Mr. Nufail had to close the residence to go to lunch. But in 10 minutes he came back to do your check-in asking apology for the inconvenience he had created. For baggage being a residence, not a hotel, we do not have a room for this... More

Staff were great from booking, answering any queries in detail prior to arrival. The hotel is placed in the old cinema which is located directly on Piazza Repubblica meaning easy to roam Florence by foot. Duomo and other major attractions were minutes away by foot yet the room was quiet even with its location in a busy part of the... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
