I was wondering when I booked this how it has almost all 5 star reviews. Now I know why. This place is legit on all levels. The location is as good as it gets anywhere in the world: doorsteps of central florence, however quite and quaint inside. The owner/designer of the hotel thought out every detail, from the flooring, to the curtains, to even the napkins and coasters. My goodness I love this place. The breakfast is just stellar: calm, quaint, high quality ingredients, away from all the rif raf outside. Don't even get me going on the gym. This was the reason I seeked this facility out. This is a full on training facility. I hit legs harder here than I do at home, and helped me keep off the pounds when stuffing my face with pasta/pizza all day long. Amazing restaurants within 3 seconds of your doorstep. 99c store within 5 seconds for all your needs. The rooms are magnificent, beds so comfy. I can go on and on about this place. Even after all that, I've saved the best for last: the staff and service. From Andrea, to Timotayo, to the staff at breakfast, to the tall bartender who works at night, these guys are STELLAR. So courteous, friendly, and helpful. Give these ladies and gents a raise! For the sake of transparency, I do need to point out one flaw, which the staff attempted multiple times to fix and were very solution oriented. This was the wifi. It simply didn't work. Better in the lobby (still not great), but in the room you could barely pull up an email. Even after some fixes it didn't work. If you don't need to get work done then this shouldn't deter you necessarily, but if you are reliant on fast wifi, this is a problem. However, the staff did say they're getting their techs to come work on this. Most places I would dock off a star for this, but everything else was so good that I cannot. One other small point, would work on increasing the water pressure from the rain shower. Amazing place! I would stay nowhere else assuming the wifi gets fixed. …

We were so very impressed with this gem of a hotel - the room was a 2 room suite for our family of 4 - 2 full sized rooms with 2 full bathrooms and a walk-in closet. Rooms and the hotel in general was very nicely decorated, eclectic - not the sterile cookie-cutter hotel vibe at all. Central to everything, steps away from the Duomo and within walking distance of the train station. A full breakfast served daily included in the price of the room. Lela served us daily and was wonderful, also Rainier who was very sweet and attentive. Kamal at reception was great - she checked us in quickly when we arrived and was very helpful throughout our stay. Mariana (manager?) also lovely. We can’t wait to return.

This is a gem of a hotel right in the middle of Florence. The staff are delightful and attentive, making us feel welcomed right from the very start until we left in the cab after 6 nights. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member seems committed to customer experience. Lovely, clean and quiet despite central location. Room was clean and made up every day to the same consistent standard. At breakfast, which was always very fresh and freshly prepared, the staff seemed to know us after a couple of days. We got tips and maps and help with everything we asked for and always with a smile. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel and wish to thank all the staff for making our Florence trip so memorable. Absolutely 5 star small family owned hotel.

We booked a 12 days stay at hotel number nine. I couldn’t say enough of the good things about the hotel. Room is just wonderful and clean daily on time. The bed is so comfortable and room temperature are perfect and we have very restful sleep at night after long walk of enjoying Florence. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. We love the small breakfast menu healthy and simple but delicious. We highly recommended this hotel for define travelers with define taste.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Number Nine. Rooms large, very well appointed, Diptyque toiletries. Breakfast fresh and varied. Staff polite and helpful. Quiet at night despite room overlooking street. Central Florence so within easy walking distance of all the sights.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We went to Florence for a special birthday trip and this was exactly the right place to stay. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful, our drinks were remembered every night when we got in and our breakfast preferences were also remembered. The spa was lovely to relax and cool down in after a hot day out. The room was perfect and the turndown service much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived to when we left we were very well looked after. On arrival we were greeted and offered complimentary drinks in an area near reception. We were then shown to our room, rather than being told which floor we were. Our bedroom was very large and the air conditioning was a bonus as it was very warm outside. We had a comfortable bed, nice touch staff coming in early evening to turn bedsheets down and putting water beside beds. Separate toilet/bathroom with two sinks and decent shower. Reception staff, sorry too many of you to mention, were really helpful, whether it be getting taxis, booking restaurants for us and where to go. Breakfast was brought to your table and there was plenty of it. Perhaps more hot food rather than just eggs in different forms? Star man for us was Alessandro. We met him on our first night, we were here for 5 nights, and no matter what time of day we saw him he always came up and chatted with us and is a really nice person. Overall this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and is close to all main attractions in the city and only a short walk from train station. We will definitely return at some stage. Our room was beautiful and always prepared perfectly. The breakfast package had wonderful options. The service was the best! You must visit Alessandro at the bar especially if you enjoy wine. He was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Very good location, close to everything! Very sad we did not take advantage of the spa. Highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the location is perfect. Everything about this hotel was incredible but the very best aspect of this hotel is the staff. Every single person was so kind and attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay so very special. This was probably one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at anywhere in Europe.
