Great location. Close to everything. Great rooms, clean quiet. No view but in downtown area everything is right on top of each other. Didn't expect a view but we were only in the room to sleep anyway.

Spent 10 days at the hotel and found it to be the perfect location to visit Florence. The hosts and staff met everyone of our needs and made you feel very welcome. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

The location of Hotel Benivieni is ideal: the Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, and many other sights are easily within walking distance, and the Duomo is practically just around the corner. The hotel is in a very old building, but the inside is quite modern. Our room was most comfortable, with a clean, spacious bathroom, adequate armoire space, and a safe.... More

We were on a bicycle trip in Northern Italy. Every other hotel we used allowed us to store our bikes in our rooms, or inside in a secure storage room. This hotel would not allow us to. In fact the hostess scolded me for even trying to walk in the door with my bike. No pretense to even be gracious.... More

Dear Mr. Dalton, we are very sorry that your bicycle were stolen. Anyway I had to clarify something. - I's not regulare to walk in the lobby of a city hotel with the bicycle. - I wasn't rude, I just let you know that you couldn't get in with the bike - You have been quiet unpolite and after the... This was my second stay at Hotel Benivieni and it was as perfect as the first time. The owner and her staff are very helpful and accommodating with tips on what to see and when, as well as making recommendations and reservations for dining at great restaurants in the area.

I keep coming back to this hotel. Maybe it's not the best in town, but it's friendly, it's clean, it's next door to the Cathedral and it just feels right ! The rooms aren't huge, the bathrooms maybe a bit small, but hey.... you're not coming to Florence to spend all day in a hotel room.... Over a number of... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a 16 day Italy trip. This was a perfect perfect location!!! After checking in the woman took us personally up to the room and showed us how everything worked to include the WiFi. She was very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean and small to average size. The staff... More

The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars was room size. Very tiny room and if you weigh 250 or more, you'll never get in the shower. Now for the good. This was a very quaint hotel right in the big middle of where we wanted to be. The room was very clean and the owner was outstanding,... More

Room is small and bathroom is tiny but it was clean, great value and the perfect location. We were in and out all day between museums, it was nice to stop in just to use the bathroom. Hotel is located a block from the Duomo.

The 4 of us (my girlfriend and two young adult daughters and I) stayed 3 nights here. I gave it four stars because of the value ($140 per night including all taxes, even the 3.50 per person per night local taxes you will have to pay at the hotel), but I would probably spend more money next time. Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
