Loved the hotel location, short walk to station and so well located for all the sites. I stayed in a small but perfectly formed single room which met my needs totally. Lovely bathrooms and although not a fan of a memory foam mattress slept very well. Breakfast is light and a small but good selection, to be honest Florence is... More

we visited Florence in July 2016 ( 14 - 19) . We stayed at hotel Globus and the experience was amazing. The hotel was 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and 5 minutes walk from the train station Santa Maria Novella. We had a pleasant stay. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff at the reception were very... More

Close to the train station (2 blocks) and so many of Florence's attractions! We stayed six nights and enjoyed this hotel immensely - great breakfasts to start our full days of sight seeing and nice to be able to take the elevator to the 3rd floor rooms (which were clean, roomy and cool) at the end of the day. The... More

I loved this hotel! From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome. Every single member of staff, from the guys on reception, to the ladies supervising breakfast, to the cleaners, were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and although I had no need for it, some visitors would certainly appreciate the wide selection of... More

We arrived at Hotel Globus after a short walk from the main station in Florence. We were welcomed with a smile and checked in straight away. This typified our stay; whenever we had questions, needed a restaurant recommendation or tips on the best museums the Reception staff were polite, extremely helpful and made our stay that bit more enjoyable. The... More

Stayed at Globus Hotel a few weeks ago with two friends. Front desk clerks were so nice, they made us feel welcome and at home. Very comfortable room and service. If you want to stay at a nice and affordable hotel, close to museums, cathedrals and (for a wonderful culinary experience) Il Mercato Centrale, Globus Hotel is the perfect choice.

We stayed here in 2013- picking it for its location and price, then it was perfect. Now with their complete renovation of all rooms and street level lobby makes it the urban hotel it is now considered. Only 2 blocks to the train and Mercato this hotel is the perfect location. Rooms are decorated simply and tastefully. You would want... More

Globus Hotel is <than a 10 minute walk to Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Just off the leather markets and only 10 minutes to Academia or the Duomo. THis hotel has been greatly updated with very smart updates. The room was flush with USB charging locations. By my count, our room had at least 8. Very modern bathroom and sitting... More

The location is ideal, the service was extraordinary, the location is perfect, the rooms are great with fantastic air conditioning, the skittle patio is great for sitting and relaxing during the day. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. Just down the street from the. Sin market, blocks to the beautiful cathedrals, right in the middle of it all and... More

This hotel is wonderfully situated halfway between the train station and the main square in Florence. It is a quick easy walk with your bags from the train station and is close to Florence's main sites - I was able to walk to everything in Florence during my vacation there. The rooms looking very modern. There are abundant outlets for... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Globus was completely renovated in June 2016. The new reception area, located on the street level of Via Sant'Antonino, is now connected to all rooms thanks to our new elevator. The new breakfast area overlooks a small courtyard with a nice vertical garden. Our staff is a mixture of all ages, languages, cultures and countries, always smiling and willing to offer you tips on places to visit, restaurants to try. They're always there for you. For what regards our location, it is definitely one of the key features of Globus. The proximity to all the Santa Maria Novella train station and all main attractions, including the Duomo, both major museums (Uffizi and Accademia Galleries) or Ponte Vecchio, among others, makes it very easy to plan even the busiest day without the need to lose time getting from the hotel to your desired location. What makes our neighbourhood special though is definitely the Mercato Centrale, located just around the corner from here. In the morning, that is where you want to go if you're planning to buy some food to take back home, or simply want to try the famous Tuscan specialties, "trippa" and "lampredotto". Where this place shines though is the 1st floor, open from 10am until midnight. It's a big, modern open space with many restaurants, serving a variety of really delicious food. Make sure to check it out! ... more   less
