We went to photography the olive harvest and to enjoy the tranquility of a rural homestead. Michelangelo and Silvia are wonderful hosts encouraging a relaxed atmosphere and delicious home made healthy food. A return visit in 2017 is on the cards.

There are so many best things about this place! Maybe best of all is its location, on top of a hill, in quiet countryside with truly beautiful views. It's an agriturismo, producing olives and wine. It's a stylish, spacious old house: guest rooms upstairs, and host Stefano and his wife below. Breakfasts are excellent. And there's a regular bus service...

We spent a wonderful 4 nights and enjoyed 4 amazing evening meals with Michelangelo and Silvia. The room we stayed in was beautifully simple with wonderful views over the farm and the hills of Tuscany. The Podere is in a great location to explore Tuscany (and Florence if you wish - we'd stayed there before we arrived) and it was...

We've been here for a Sunday lunch with friends and felt like home at the first step in the house. Authenticity and great agriturismo food. Fab people. If you are looking for some real country life this is the place to go. One of a kind.will be back soon.

It's true the owners are super nice and kind. The place is authentic and rustic and in a convenient location both for chianti and Florence. Breakfast was ok with bread an jam dinner was earthy and nice with farm grown vegetables. All fine but if it's worth the price that everybody needs to judge.

This place has been operating long before this "Agri" farms had bursted out all over Tuscany. Both Michelangelo and Syivia are so easy going and relaxed - you could see their house has been filled with guests for years before as I rest assured for years to come. You could call this Karma, or any other word that comes in...

This agriturismo was really great. It's an old stone farmhouse with nice, clean bedrooms and bathrooms and a beautiful fruit/vegetable garden surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Michelangelo and Silvia were really welcoming hosts. We had wonderful family style dinners together outdoors by the grill and they gave us delicious breakfasts with homemade cakes and jams from their gardens. I...

Our stay with Michelangelo and Sylvia was truly special. This wonderful old farmhouse is definitely a no-frills place, but we truly felt like it was our home for a few days. Michelangelo and Sylvia cooked us awesome meals where nearly everything came from their gardens, wine and olive oil included. They were a blast to share meals and conversation with....

Beautiful location, friendly and interesting hosts. The food was great - particularly the wild boar. Fortunately there were no wild bores at dinner - Michelangelo and Silvia were lovely, as were the other guests. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Don't expect luxury and all the trimmings - expect a simple but wonderful experience. For this is very much Michelangelo & Silvia's home and they are very welcoming hosts. Supper was a special treat; and for breakfast too, most ingredients were home grown. We toured in Tuscany for 4 days - our stay in this Podere will remain a rich...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With the joviality and the warmth of peasant culture, we offer our hospitality with care and discretion, trying to satisfy all needs. All our guests, longing for rest and for being in touch with nature, enjoy the slow rhythm of the country. We have transformed the hayloft and the stables into three comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms. We still live in the four hundred years old farmhouse where guests can enjoy a full breakfast, with fresh eggs, homemade jams and cakes, and meals based on products coming from our fields like oil, wine and vegetables. The food is typical Tuscan and goes according to the seasons and our grandmother's recipes. Our family have been living here since 1936, when the local church handed over this podere to our grandparents, after their wedding, under a form of contract called mezzadria (sharecropping). In the years many people have come over to enjoy the atmosphere of this place and now, in order to keep the tradition of this rich and beautiful land, we would love to hand it down on all our guests. For those who would not join us with working the fields, you can either go for walks through the farm, enjoy an old-style picnic in the vineyard or in the olive grove, or simply walk through the wonderful wood paths, picking chestnuts and precious wild mushrooms. The area is also ideal for trekking, biking and horse riding. And eventually you can visit Florence, only 18kms away, and Arezzo, San Gimignano and Siena, within an hour drive. Tuscany is waiting for you and we will be delighted for you to stay with us! ... more   less
