We stayed here for three nights. There were 5 of us so we got a triple room and a double room. The triple was a great size for three people. Both rooms had stunning views of the duomo. The best part of this hotel is the location. It's in the center of everything!! Walking distance to every main attraction in...

There may be cheaper hotels, but Hotel Duomo has location, location, location. We enjoyed a superior room with stunning views of the Duomo from the bed. We could enjoy the pleasant street music and views from the privacy of our room. The central location meant we could beat the crowds in the morning, rest at midday and shop in the...

The location is wonderful and the staff friendly and helpful. There have been some negative reviews of the breakfast. For us it was worth every bit and more of the 8 euro price. We'll stay here again when we're next in Florence.

We are here in Florence to take in as much as we can with our children in a limited time frame. So we have arrived at the Hotel Duomo, situated in the hear of all the action and sights. So as far as position is concerned it would be hard to beat. Hotel Duomo is in a charming old building...

The hotel is across the street from the Duomo, a short walk from the train station, and mid way between the Uffizi gallery and the Accademia (also easy walks). Very clean and modern room and free Wifi. Also 2 blocks from the Sapori & Dintoni grocery store. Francesca at the front desk in afternoons and evenings was so welcoming and...

Sometimes hotels with this kind of location don't measure up. Happily this hotel does. Clean comfortable rooms, helpful friendly staff, quality accommodations at the very center of old Florence. Some rooms have great Duomo views - with nice balconies.

Room was clean especially bath room was nice. We could see duomo from our room. Because of the location, the place is aleays noisy even at night time, but i didn't care at all. iI was a pleasant stay, as staffs are really helpful.

Location was ideal being close to everything we wanted to see and do in Florence. Staff at the hotel were extremely helpful right from check-in until we finally left. The room was well equipped with a very comfortable bed and a small balcony to enjoy the evening air.

Perfect location across the street from the Duomo. Excellent staff - so friendly and polite. Rooms kept very clean. Room for 3 a little small but it's an older hotel - bathroom very modern. Complimentary breakfast very good. Elevator is older Italian kind but does fit 3 people. Hotel lobby on the 4th floor with very safe entrance. We really...

I would highly recommend this hotel! The location was great! Just outside the Duomo, the staff went above and beyond, the room was good size, wifi worked well in the room, good TV selections and the breakfast was just enough, CIAO! It also is in the heart of the city.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
