Friendly host, good location nearby S. M. Novella railway station (proximity to the centre - 15 min of walking), clean and big room. It was very cold in the room, the host promised us a bottle of wine, but, obviously forgot :)

The Atelier is located near to the old town of firenze reachable by a 10 minute walk. The rooms are clean and nice and the host was very friendly. The breakfast was rather simple, but OK. We would come again!

We stayed here for two nights. Liked the fact that there was free parking and breakfast. It was difficult to find parking but Marco, the owner, moved his vehicle so we could have his spot. Prior to our arrival he called us to verify around the time we would get there. The rooms are spacious and simple. Bathroom is clean... More

This location is near the train station and within walking distance from much of Florence. We rented the large suite with a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. It was well kept, clean, with a good breakfast, and the owner Marco was extremely helpful for making reservatioins and guiding us on our 6 day visit.

We've just stayed here for one night during our honeymoon around Italy and it was lovely. Marco (the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful; he gave detailed instructions on the best route to walk into Florence centre and he suggested the best tourist places to see and where to eat. He even phoned 4Leoni and booked us a table at... More

Stayed at atelier cosseria for a night while visiting Florence. The free parking was a bonus since we brought our car. Marco was very helpful giving us directions and recommending good restaurants which we followed and was excellent. Although it's near the train station it's very quite, the only downside is that the nearby building during our stay is under... More

Atelier Cosseria was centrally located. It was about a 10 minute walk to Santa Maria Novella train station and 20 minutes to the center. The establishment was very clean and the room was also quite spacious. Marco gave us good directions to the city center from the B&B and also restaurant recommendations. Paolo was very sweet and made a nice... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
