The place is quite close to the center after Marco the B&B owner explain you the best way. Marco is a very nice man. On the street free parking something you can't get in Florence(but just on the B&B street not nearby, ask Marco for your safety). The place no have sign just on the bell. the breakfast was nice.

We stayed here for two nights. Liked the fact that there was free parking and breakfast. It was difficult to find parking but Marco, the owner, moved his vehicle so we could have his spot. Prior to our arrival he called us to verify around the time we would get there. The rooms are spacious and simple. Bathroom is clean... More

This location is near the train station and within walking distance from much of Florence. We rented the large suite with a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. It was well kept, clean, with a good breakfast, and the owner Marco was extremely helpful for making reservatioins and guiding us on our 6 day visit.

We've just stayed here for one night during our honeymoon around Italy and it was lovely. Marco (the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful; he gave detailed instructions on the best route to walk into Florence centre and he suggested the best tourist places to see and where to eat. He even phoned 4Leoni and booked us a table at... More

Stayed at atelier cosseria for a night while visiting Florence. The free parking was a bonus since we brought our car. Marco was very helpful giving us directions and recommending good restaurants which we followed and was excellent. Although it's near the train station it's very quite, the only downside is that the nearby building during our stay is under... More

Atelier Cosseria was centrally located. It was about a 10 minute walk to Santa Maria Novella train station and 20 minutes to the center. The establishment was very clean and the room was also quite spacious. Marco gave us good directions to the city center from the B&B and also restaurant recommendations. Paolo was very sweet and made a nice... More

An overnight stay before travelling on to Rome, Marco was extremely helpful and told us the best way to get to the city centre and recommended a great restaurant, The only downside is the location is a little out of the way, but once we knew the best way it was about a 15 minute walk, ideally located for the... My wife and I, along with friends, stayed here in Florence for 7 nights. The B & B is an easy walk from the train station and in a very quiet neighborhood. The owner, Marco, was there to meet us and gave us a brief history of the B & B which was the home he was born and raised... More

We arrived at the Atelier Cosseria on Sunday 09/21/2014, taking the directions Marco (the proprietor) had given us when we made our reservations. Easy to get to (about 1/2 mile hike) just head to Binary 16 (last track on side of terminal); walk along track until out of terminal; take the brick sidewalk down to bus station; keep walking past... Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
