This hotel is one of many similar ones near the main train station. Our quad room was conveniently located on the first floor. The room was a little dark and the furnishings dated, but it was comfortable and everything was in good working order. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff was helpful with directions and greetings.

Great location, good breakfast, clean room, good wifi connection and friendly (always smiling) and helpful staff. There should be more power points especially for rooms with more than 2 occupants. Stayed in room with 4 beds and noticed one bed was too soft. Overall great stay & value for money.

Stayed for almost a week and we were upgraded to a suite without extra cost. Very spacious rooms in this splendid old building right in the centre of this delightful hill town. Wonderful choice of food at breakfast. The best feature of the hotel is the terrace with fantastic views. Don't rush your breakfast!

I stayed here for 4 nights. I had one of the attic rooms (4th floor, elevator only goes to the 3rd floor), a quite large room. The hotel has a somewhat antique style (including the furniture), but clean. This room and the adjacent one share a terrace, but you can't see anything because of the tall wall. Breakfast is standard... More

The hotel looks nice. It is quiet and well-located near the station and Via Faenza (not near Palazzo Vecchio!). Breakfast is nothing special but it is self service and it is large enough. Among the bad things: no way to control the air conditioning. It was at least ten degrees colder in my room than outside; the switch did nothing,... More

I booked the "comfortable single" room, and it is a narrow room with not much to say about. It's clean, the location is very convenient - minutes walk to the train station and there are shops and restaurants in the nearby street Via Faenza. The last day of my stay the electricity went out early morning. They had it restored... More

Great welcome and helpful staff, ruined by broken aircon in the room, which wasn't fixed during our 3 night stay. Opening the window wasn't an option as the noise outside, particularly late at night, was unbearable. Sadly this overshadowed the good points others have made.

Dear Andy , thank you for sharing your experience with others. Reading your review I'm very sorry and surprised. Yes it's true, our staff is helpful and it is pleased to find an alternative solution in case of problem, but we were not informed about your problem with the aircon, otherwise we would have changed the room or repaired it.... We stayed three nights on a city break. The hotel is easy to find because it is close to the railway station. It is easy to walk to the main sights and has lots of bars, restaurants and cafes nearby. We did find the area quite noisy....but Florence is a busy place. The room was small and basic...but clean. We... More

This hotel is in easy walking distance of both the railway station and the bus depot.
