This hotel had the cleanest rooms I have seen in a long time. Even though the room was small it was clean and well kept. The location is unbeatable. You can walk to everything in Florence. The only drawback only cars and taxis are allowed in the area. If you come as a group with a bus you will have... More

Excellent location, next to the Duomo, but very hard to park your car. Apparently the hotel has a parking service (25 euros/day) and shuttle to the hotel, but we didn't know this up front. The room was quite clean, but dated. 24/24 reception. Wifi is not included in the price of the room. Breakfast is included, but not that good.

Hotel is very nice, the location is awesome. We knew that we were neer to Duomo so complaining about church bells is ridiculous. I loved listening to the bells of one of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen. There were some other noises that were more annoying. Overall a fine hotel, not much variety for breakfast but ok.... More

First room offered had 1 broken bed small room. Upgraded had to paid cash. No receipt given. Had to pay for WiFi worked in and out. For 1 month didn't pay for WiFi any where else in Europe. Tax had to be in cash too. Staff were nice, great location. Breakfast was simple and croissants were stale.

My wife and I were traveling with 2 other couples and we all felt this hotel was really pretty good. All the bathrooms have been redone and are quite nice & updated; new tile, fixtures & shower, plus there was good water pressure. The beds were comfortable and the air con was strong during late June summer days. The breakfast... More

We found this hotel online. It is one street away from the Duomo. The main Piazza in Florence. The room was very small and minimal, but comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. The was good! If you are looking for a great central location - this is it!

This hotel is conveniently located, staff are friendly enough but lock up your valuables. Tickets disappeared from three of our rooms, supposedly taken as trash. Also beware that the internet is not free or cheap, even though it was specifically requested. It is so hard to find great customer service.

This hotel is located centrally and a minute walk to the Duomo. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel was a little bit old and the room was a small. Regardless, you can't beat it's location. Continental breakfast was amazing, there were plenty of food to choose from. I will stay here again if I... More

The hotel staff were nice and very helpful. Very close to the train station and many attractions. They stored our luggage in a safe area after early morning check-out while we visited Pisa. After our trip back from Pisa, we're able to use the bathroom facilities, rest a while, and finally leave for Venice.

We enjoyed our stay in the middle of Firenze! Friendly staff at the reception answered all our questions. You can walk from the hotel to most of the beautiful places of the town. Don't miss a walk through the enlighted city at night. There various nice bars and restaurants around.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
