We stayed for 3 nights. True the location is good but that's about all this hotel has going for it. The problems were many and varied from no tv signal, substandard plumbing..... toilet runs non stop, toilet cistern vibrates LOUDLY during the night ...... shower water stops mid shower ..... surprisingly it has 3 stars???

We stayed here for four nights. Hotel is in a great location, few minutes walking distance from Stazione di Santa Maria Novella. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple. Walking distance to Mercato Cantrale and Duomo.

Budget excellence, Huge continental breakfast buffet, Friendly staff, Clean and pleasant throughout. Ideal place to stay if wandering around Florence for a few days. Near the railway station and no more than about 15 minutes walk from from most of the good bits of Florence. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Can get a bit noisy for 5 or 10...

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful but a renovation is long-overdue./ The bedrooms are poor at best and some woefully inadequate even at 3star level. The website photos flatter. Pity as it could be so good but disappoints.

Thank you so much to all the staff at San Giorgio, our room was superb, shower good and balcony overlooking Duomo brilliant! We returned daily to a freshly cleaned room, fresh towels and bedding. Water was always hot. Breakfast was ample and enjoyable. Reception staff could not have been more helpful. Location of the hotel was 5 minutes from the...

We had just one night in Florence, so we booked this hotel because it was not very expensive and was very close to the train station. It is an old and tired hotel with a man at the reception who wrote our names in a huge registration book. We were thinking we'd have a retro experience but we didn't get...

The hotel is located a few steps from the main train station and just less than 10 minutes away from the city center. Many stores and restaurants in the area. Very safe. I was in Italy for work by myself and the room I was assigned was a double with a balcony with view, on the third floor. However there...

It smelled of bleach when we walked in, so I guess it was clean. The walls could use an update, as they were dirty. The carpet was a bit dirty too. The shower temperature and pressure were constant, which was really nice. The tub was all scratched up, so it looked dirty, but I think it was just old. Shower...

This is a basic B&B short stay hotel. Standard rooms over five floors served by one five person capacity lift. Although during our stay the hotel was full you did not get the impression that it was over crowded. Breakfast was continental style and plentiful. Staff members are friendly and helpful with a good command of English. Trips can be...

Nice enough room, excellent location if arriving by train - pretty much across the road, and a 5 min walk to the centre. Paid less than £70 per night which was very reasonable in August but saw this hotel quite a bit more expensive at many websites. If I had paid £100+ would've rated this hotel lower. Room was spacious...
