When we checked in the man in the reception wanted to keep our passports for a while for registration. When we protest against that he was laughing and told us that was the normal procedure instead of respect our feelings and doing the registration immediately. In The Netherlands there are a lot of warnings never to give your passport because... More

I traveled with my adult daughter to Florence, and we stayed 3 nights in the San Giorgio e Olimpic Hotel. The location is great - very close to the S.M.N. train station. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I can definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers!

My husband arranged this holiday for a surprise birthday treat and asked for a room with a view and a balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and pointed out that they have given us what we had requested. The room was a little small with ensuite bathroom which was a little small too. There was one wardrobe to put clothes... More

The hotel is an excellent location to railway station. Easy walking distance to nearby restaurants, piazzas, markets, hop on hop off bus stop and meeting point for day tours. Reception is well organized and helpful with map on your arrival and pointing out places of interest.

Stayed here with my sister for one night in May and it is in the most perfect location. The hotel is quite charming with a pretty old feel to it. The staff were very pleasant and the room was clean and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again if visiting Florence.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station. The room was fine but the bathroom was terrible. There was a putrid smell from the bathroom and the shower screen door was broken. We asked for the door to be fixed and the smell to be dealt with but neither were attended to during our stay despite... More

This hotel was quaint. It's a family run business. It is close to everything you want to see. You can walk everywhere, the uffizzi, the Galleria Academia, the Duomo etc. It has free wifi, and best of all the hot water and water pressure for that all important shower after a day of sightseeing is excellent.
