Excellent location just a minutes walk to Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Accademia, etc. Very authentic building with excellent sitting areas. The view from the tower garden is the best in Florence. Classic single room was sparce but functional. Service excellent and willing to accommodate. Breakfast area was rather small but well serviced. Located in an old alleyway that gave that Renaissance...

Stayed here for five nights. The location cannot be beat - you are close to everything. Also the service is excellent - the front desk staff in particular were wonderful, and special thanks to Nick and Luigi who went out of their way every night to help us with dinner recommendations and travel advice. The breakfast is good and the...

While traveling to visit my daughter studying abroad we needed a hotel in Florence for one night and booked through Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, our travel plans were disrupted and we could not get to Florence on time. I submitted a request to cancel the reservation but well in advance of our stay and the hotel would not honor the cancellation...

Dear Kelly E, We thank you for sharing your review about a hotel you never stayed in. We received your cancellation request just the day before arrival, which is over the 72 hour cancellation policy. In fact, you sent a specific request about waiving the cancellation fees. We tried to re-sell the room in order to waive the cancellation costs,...

We were recommended this hotel by family friends who stay here every time they're in Florence. We were, unfortunately, a bit underwhelmed. Our rating (honestly, more of a 3.5) could certainly be elevated by a few small changes; if changes were made to increase the comfort level of this hotel, we'd absolutely stay here again... there is great potential with...

But Hotel Torre Guelfa came pretty close. It is an old building, refitted as a hotel, with stone floors and many places to wander, The room itself (we had a triple tho there were only two of us) was dark and had no view, but it was comfortable and very spacious. The staff was more than gracious, Breakfast was unexceptional...

Our second stay at this hotel and loved it both times! Great location, a few blocks from the Ponte Vecchio. Wonderful breakfast, helpful staff. If you like old fashioned atmosphere this is the place. Antiquey furniture, the entrance looks kind of like a dungeon, but above all, the amazing 14th century tower you can climb up to, sit and have...

Just an overnight stay in Florence and picked this hotel due to location and price. What a great surprise to find such a charming delightful hotel with a historical tower with 360 degree views over the city. Had an extended happy hour to watch the sunset. A magical place. Our only regret was we only had one night in Florence....

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
