We visited this apartment in September of 2015 and it completely exceeded our expectations. We arrived tired and and were so soothed by this apartment - the outdoor patio was so relaxing. There is a local bistro to eat right around the corner and a little market right down the street, so if you want to cook in one night,... More

We stayed in the Dimora del Barone suite in late September after a cruise. Paolo was amazing, The location was great, we walked everywhere. Do take a cab from the train station though, if you come by train. Managing your backs on the cobbled streets is difficult. You could stay in and cook if you liked, a few basic items... More

Welcoming and wonderful apartment. Most convenient location and the recommendations of places to see and eat were terrific. Beyond expectations and the thoughtfulness of food in the fridge and a bottle of wine was just a lovely touch. Perfect apartment to walk to the train station for day trips or to walk to the sites of the city. Perfect!

My daughter and I stayed at this apartment this summer and were delighted at the welcome (waiting at the door for us) and the warm hospitality. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed with a lovely bowl of fruit, bottle of wine and enough to get started in the first day or so. Situated on a quiet street a... More

This was the third time we visited Florence but staying at this apartment made this time more special. The apartment was spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. We rented the apartment which had the veranda. We spent relaxing hours over coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. It was wonderful having a full kitchen and very convenient with the... More

This is by far the best of everything in Florence. The location was perfect, the suites were beyond what we expected, amenities luxurious, beds and pillows so comfortable, it was hard for us to want to leave the apartment and tour Florence:) we loved it all, thank you so much. Nan Thorp

My wife and I stayed in the one-bedroom apartment this July for a week. The apartment was decorated and furnished to a very high standard and felt very luxurious (especially the bathrooms). The terrace was fantastic but it was too hot to use it during the day. The apartment had free wifi but only local TV channels. The location was... More

My colleague and I visited Florence on business during July. We found this apartment to be perfect for our stay, both traveling in and out of Florence and exploring the city during the nights/weekend. The couch is super comfy as a bed, and there is plenty of space. Beautiful apartment!

The apartment is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, and smells so fresh and lovely, we hardly wanted to leave!! We felt like we were living in a palace apartment. The service provided went above and beyond!! Paolo welcomed us and provided all kinds of helpful information about the neighborhood conveniences and city recommendations. The kitchen table was set and ready for... More

My wife and I were visiting our daughter who is studying in Florence this semester. We chose renting one of the apartments here instead of a hotel to hopefully capture the local flavor. We were floored regarding every aspect from the stay. From the beginning where we were met at the door and provided a complete tour of the facilities... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
