Booked room for 1 person (single) on 4th floor of this small old hotel. clean but smelled a bit musty - maybe not booked often enough? Buffet style breakfast is pretty good but a little chaotic if you arrive at the wrong time. Reception is professional.

Family, friends and I recently spent 10 days at the Guelfo Bianco, which turned out to be a most pleasant and enjoyable experience. The accommodations were exceptional and the attendants most cordial. The hotel is family owned and managed and their close attention to daily operation is evident in every detail, to include the restaurant, bar and all related amenities....

Just finished staying at this hotel. Fantastic location, clean and comfortable room. It is very close to the Duomo, Academia, San Lorenzo, Medici Chapel and Mercado. Uffizi is walking distance as well. Front desk was very helpful and friendly and everyone spoke English. The breakfast is included and while basic, is still a nice amenity. We checked out and were...

The minute we walked into the hotel we were greeted by smiling faces and the warmest of welcomes. We were also given an unexpected complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, room 119. The room was large, gorgeous and felt so historical. As a picky traveler, everything this hotel had to offer exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was delicious, the staff...

The Il Guelfo Bianco hotel in Florence is a beautiful hotel, and we spent a wonderful week there in early April. All of the staff were very personable and enjoyable to talk with. The breakfast was included with the price of the room and was excellent. A very nice patio out in front of the hotel is perfect for drinks,...

You can stay in a new modern hotel or you can stay in a piece of history. The hotel was in a great location and the staff fantastic. A lovely breakfast with a great selection was available in the room price each morning. We were in easy walking distance to the rail station if your trip is to more than...

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. Needless to say, Florence was completely packed with tourists. There are positives and negatives to being centrally located. The positives: easy to get around and allows you to stop back at your hotel as needed. The negatives: It's much more noisy with the crowds. This hotel is on a main...

This place is outstanding. If Florence is the gateway to the Renaissance, then this hotel is perfectly reflective. Excellent accomodations, excellenent location, excellent service. Rooms were MASSIVE. This was a welcome surprise for parents travelling with 4 young children and grandmother. All rooms had era art pieces including historical ceilings and furniture. WOW! The hallways included works similar to what...

My husband and I just returned after spending 5 nights at this incredible hotel. The room was clean and extremely spacious. We overlooked the courtyard and were never bothered with any outside noise. We slept wonderfully every night. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very gracious with coffee, cappuccino and food refills even during busy times. The front...

Great hotel just a short walk to all the historic sites in Florence. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The breakfast is varied and delicious, some of it coming from their family farm. Organic when they can do it. Good cappuccinos. The restaurant in the hotel, Il Desco is definitely a...

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
