Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Room was small, but impeccably clean and all needs were met. The central location made experiencing historical Florence easy. The view of the Duomo from my room was breathtaking. Breakfast choices were varied and good. The dinner menu is...More

Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through
Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.

The easiest way is by train which costs under nine Euros. There are a number of options - take the express train. It's no more expensive but has fewer stops so is much faster. It takes you straight from Pisa into the central station. The Italian trains are modern and clean and inexpensive.
If flying out of Pisa, you can transfer at Pisa station to a separate train shuttle to the airport for a couple of Euros.
