This hotel is wonderfully located near all the nice shops and action at the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was nice and clean, and my cousin and I loved that we were able to have separate bedrooms.
Absolutely loved my stay for 5 nights at this Hotel. This was my first stay at this property. The staff at the Hotel are welcoming and friendly. A special shout out to Lucia who helped me with my booking. The location of this hotel in my opinion is best in the city. You have the Ponte Vecchio right outside the front door and you are walking distance to virtually every attraction in the city. The roof top restaurant which has great views of the city and breakfast were excellent. Loved the room #502 I stayed in, bright, spacious, very comfortable beds. Will definitely be staying here again in December and on any future visits.
Stayed a few days during our trip to Florence. Truly this hotel has the best location in Florence Overlooking Ponte Vecchio bridge, and just a few steps away from Pitti Palace, Boboli gardens and Uffizi Gallery and city center shopping area. Hotel was very clean but bathroom was a bit outdated and need of renovation, beds were super comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace has a beautiful view of the city, but breakfast menu needs more variety items added. Service was good and the staff was very helpful.
We loved our stay at Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio. Great location, great price, and great views! The rooftop restaurant is the perfect place for a morning cappuccino with an amazing view; we could've sat there all day! It's also worth mentioning that this was the most comfortable bed of our trip around Italy. European hotels aren't known for having the most comfortable beds, so it's typically not something I even pay much attention to, but these beds were noticeably more comfortable than the various other hotels we stayed at in other cities.
Sometimes what you see in pictures isn’t what you’re getting. This is, unfortunately, the case with this hotel. First, the good. The hotel is in a prime location. It’s steps from the old bridge and a 10-20 minute walk from various must-see locations, shopping, and restaurants. Because of this, there is some road noise, but it’s hardly noticeable. We didn’t spend much time in the room to care or be affected by it. Breakfast was also included. There was a good selection, but in comparison to the other breakfast choices we had in Venice and Rome, it wasn’t great quality. Great if included, but pass if it isn’t. The pastries were fresh and tasty. The staff helping with breakfast were very kind and helpful. Now, the bad. For a 4-star hotel you’d expect help getting your bags in through the door at minimum and perhaps shown the room. We struggled to roll our bags into the lobby with no help from the front desk and trying to handle their heavy front door and were basically just given a room key and told the floor and room number. Once we enter the room, my wife and I were both disappointed. The pictures online make the place seem a lot more updated than it seems in person. The AC was also not working efficiently. It was very hot in the room. As I always do before settling in, I checked in, around, and under the bed. I can stay anywhere provided the room is clean. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with the bed. When I stripped the covers I found hair on the bed liner. I immediately went down to report it and asked for another room which they were able to accommodate. They gave us a “superior” room. The second room was larger, but still wasn’t very impressive in comparison to the pictures. The bed liner was cleaner, but still had some hair. I didn’t want to bother the staff again and we were only there for 2-nights so we kept the room. The AC was WAY better in this room. The beds are extremely hard. This was also the case in the previous room. The pillows are also very flat. The bathroom was spacious, but keep an eye out on leaking. For whatever reason, ours leaked from the corner no matter how we positioned the door or the shower head. There was a small amount of mold on the corner of the tub and there was “puddling” in the sink even when the faucet was opened at full force. All in all, not a place I’d stay at again and extremely surprised by its 4/5 star rating. I’m not sure how other hotels in the area compare, but in comparison to hotels I’ve stayed at in the past, it wasn’t great. They need to replace the mattresses with thicker mattresses, the pillows should be fuller, the walls should be repainted or cleaned especially in high traffic areas, and bed linen along with the bed liner should be thoroughly cleaned and mattress vacuumed before giving the room the next person.…
