Stamina is required to take in all the thousands of pieces of artwork. The rooms themselves require time to absorb the painted ceilings guilded arches and textures wallpapers even before looking at the thousands of paintings that line the walls. It becomes a little overwhelming. We got there early and there was only a very small queue. The gardens give...

My wife & I opted to stay here for 3 nights earlier this month (May 2017) & we were very pleased with our choice. The Hotel is superbly situated just a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio. The rooms are adequately sized, clean & well maintained. Tea & coffee making facilities are included - but no milk! There was some...

This hotel is located in the heart of Florence and the staff was so accommodating. This was our home base while we traveled to other destinations such as Rome and Cinque Terre and they were happy to store our suitcases when we went on our mini trips elsewhere. The rooms are smallish but typical for Europe. They were extremely clean!...

My husband and I stayed overnight and were most impressed by the excellent customer service we received from the Front Desk Staff. In particular Massimo and Marco were extremely helpful assisting with dinner reservations in the city and printing out tickets for the Duomo tour. Excellent location right on the Ponte Vecchio

We went on the first Sunday of the month (so was free, but one still needed to get an entry ticket, which had the time to entry the garden and the modern art exhibit). At 8:30 AM, there was no line; when we left at 1 PM, there was a very long line. The palace has many rooms where each...

Loved this hotel. The staff was so helpful and kind. The desk manager let me sit at the font desk and confirm my flight reservations and check in. I was having trouble with the guest computer. He helped me through the Italian language computer and printed my boarding pass for me. AWESOME. The room was clean and big enough. Double...

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at this hotel during Easter week. This is a well-run hotel offering attentive service. The location of the hotel absolutely cannot be beat. It is one block off the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and a 5 minute walk to the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. The hotel is an oasis in a very busy...

Everything about this hotel was great except the noise, resulting in my 4 stars instead of 5. We were on the 1st floor and our bed may as well had been sitting on the sidewalk. We literally could hear conversations outside, even with the windows closed. And the trucks and street sweepers came by with annoyingly regularity, especially in the...

The hotel was very well placed to visit the city . There is a taxi rank outside which proved very useful . There are many interesting restaurants clause to the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay . The bed was very comfortable ( I am quite fussy ) . I asked for extra pillows which were sent...

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
