First of all, there was a used towel hanging on the back of the door on the first day. I thought that was something that had been inadvertently forgotten and could not be helped, but the next day it was not even cleaned properly!
Absolutely loved my stay for 5 nights at this Hotel. This was my first stay at this property. The staff at the Hotel are welcoming and friendly. A special shout out to Lucia who helped me with my booking. The location of this hotel in my opinion is best in the city. You have the Ponte Vecchio right outside the front door and you are walking distance to virtually every attraction in the city. The roof top restaurant which has great views of the city and breakfast were excellent. Loved the room #502 I stayed in, bright, spacious, very comfortable beds. Will definitely be staying here again in December and on any future visits.
Pitti Palace Firenze al Ponte Vecchio was ideal for our needs. The location is convenient to all of the must-see attractions, but being on the other side of the river in Oltrarno, it is removed from the touristy spots. The Ponte Vecchio is diagonal from the front doors providing a gateway to the old city, but it is also a short walk to Piazza Santo Spirito that has a nice neighborhood vibe and many restaurants for a meal or a cocktail. The breakfast was more than adequate with a selection of typical American fare of eggs and bacon to ham, cheese, pastries, and fruit. Cappuccino or American coffee, tee, and fruit juice can be enjoyed while you plan your day looking over the city to the duomo. The front desk attendants were always friendly and welcoming. They helped us acquire reservations for a traditional Florentine steak dinner. We had a junior suite, which had one large king bed and a smaller room with a single bed for our adult son. The bathroom was between rooms and was supplied with shampoo, cream rinse, and soap. The rooms were clean and, although the hotel was full, it was quiet. I would recommend the Hotel Pitti Palace for your stay in Florence.…
What a joke!! €16 to get into the place only to find 2 of the 4 exhibitions closed. Surely the tickets should have been priced pro rata or at least you should have been alerted at the kiosk. Once in it was fine- I thought there was a lot of glare in many paintings making them hard to see. The lighting needs to be tweaked to sort this out.
We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay here in September 2022. We stayed in a junior suite with a wonderful balcony overlooking the streets of Florence. While it was noisy on the balcony, the room was very quiet and we slept great. The location is hard to beat for walking around and exploring all that Florence has to offer. Very conveniently located next to a grocery store as well and the breakfast was good.
We stayed at the Pitti Palace for three nights and had a great time. Its location by the Ponte Vecchio is excellent and its roof top restaurant gives fantastic views over the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were good, and late night drinks in the roof top bar were a great end to a day! We’d recommend it to anyone.
We stayed at this hotel in Sept 22. The staff were very good and the location is exceptional. However The Cons The rooftop terrace was closed through the day .This seems crazy as we wanted some chill time other than sitting in our bedroom. It is a selling feature for the hotel so why not utilise it.? Also on our floor 3 the carpet was so threadbare it gave a bad appearance to what is not a cheap hotel to stay at. Overall we had a nice stay but would not rush back
This is a nice hotel, very accommodating, air conditioning works well and room amenities are nice. Room is pretty spacious for European hotel. The breakfast is served on the rooftop and the views are absolutely amazing. We were in Europe for about 20 days and this was one of the best breakfasts that we had the whole time, really enjoyed it. The hotel is located just a few steps from the ponte vecchio bridge….this is great to be so close to everything except when you open the door and there are crowds of people right there at the hotel entrance. It also makes it kinda loud at night. Overall the hotel is great, just not our preferred location in terms of being so close to such a busy tourist attraction.
We are convinced; in Florence you cannot find a better location to stay. The rooms are well equipped and the welcoming and helpful ways of the staff makes you feel home. All the sights are in walking distance.
If you want to be in central Florence then this hotel is perfect, literally next door to the Ponte Vecchio. Reception staff were fantastic, however whilst the top floor restaurant offered fantastic views, the staff were not as friendly and almost a bit rude when we asked to sit in a specific place. Hence only the 4 stars, but more really a 4.5.
