The hotel has a grand lobby and a small shop but room we had was less than average. There is no bathtub or anything, just curtain to divide the shower areas and the toilet. Water did not drain well so the bathroom floor was flooded. Wifi reception was not good in the rooms but computers with intenet access are available... More

We took our son here for his birthday treat. The hotel is visually lovely, with a gorgeous marble reception area. When we tried to check in we were made to wait while a girl stared into space for a while, however, once we spoke to Giacomo everything went smoothly. The room was functional and clean. The bathroom was a good... More

Our family stayed at this hotel for 2 evenings while on a Trafalgar Bus tour of Italy. It was situated along the Arno River and about a 10 minute walk to Piazza Santa Croce. The bar food was very good and American style. The meals and breakfasts that came with the tour were very good and buffet style. The rooms... More

Barbara in customer service desk was extra nice and patient with us while we were trying to book an excursion. She showed genuine interest to help us . She is an asset to your hotel.God bless her heart for her kindness. Kim, the manager in the gift shop should also be commended for her excellent customer service. It shows how... More

What a great hotel we stayed here during our Italy trip and what a great hotel. RIght across from a park and the Arno River, a nice 15 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio. Very close to the Duomo, and the famous Santa Croce Church. Very friendly staff, nice rooms and what a breakfast selection... Everyone in our group especially... More

Clean, comfortable room (I'm really easy to please... a safe location and a clean, comfortable room are all I ask... ) but having said that I'm easy to please, it still is true that the hotel was nice... no complaints!

The only good thing about this hotel is the quiet rooms. Otherwise, they charge for everything extra, even for selling stamps and mailing postcards. Breakfast is terrible and the coffee is a strange concoction of Florentine chlorine water and instant coffee!

Dear Customer Thanks for your feedback in relation to your comment – “they charge for everything extra, even for selling stamps and mailing postcards”.- I have to say that is normally to pay for this kind of service. We are very sorry that you don’t like our coffee maybe because you are not used to drink those kind of coffee... More

Globus Tours used this hotel and it had a very big lobby, lounge area and dining rooms. Typical European breakfast buffet. Soft drinks and water pricey at the bar. On a hot day, the 15-20 min walk to city center was tough. The room was clean yet small. Twin bed with average comfort. Some rooms offered a bathtub-mine had a... More

We did not actually book this hotel, but ours closed for remodeling and moved our reservation to Grand Hotel Mediterraneo. We were a little worried, having not reviewed this hotel, but all of our concerns were gone when we arrived. The hotel was great, had american food (that was open past 7pm!) and the staff was very curtious. The location... More

Our room at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo was in a great location - end of the hall across from a small (pretty much unused/hidden) elevator and the stairs. The hotel is quite spacious and large but once in our room we never heard another person. Our room overlooked an apartment buildings courtyard, but in the distance you can see church... More
