Great hotel. Perfect location for all the highlights of Florence. Rooms and service were all first class. Rooms nicely appointed and good size for European hotels. The happy hour bar was an added bonus. Staff very knowledgeable about both the major tourist areas as well as some lesser known areas as well as restaurants off the beaten path. Highly recommended.... More

This was our first stop on our 10 day vacation in Tuscany. Being 5 minutes away from the Duomo and major attractions in Florence make this hotel a haven. To top it, the rooms were fantastic and mini bar free to use (we were in a suite and maybe that facility is only available in a suite). My husband, 2... More

Amazing hotel - wonderful location only steps from the Duomo. Very well appointed, modern rooms (love the Nespresso coffee maker, free mini-bar items). So nicely cleaned each day. Pleasant front desk staff that accommodated our requests. Would highly reco this hotel...I would DEFINITELY stay here again if I went back to Florence.

This is a very impressive place. Location is fabulous, just down the street from the duomo. The service is outstanding. The person on check in was friendly, kind and helpful. He provided info on the best gelato ( Strega nocciola just behind the hotel)- that gelato is the best I ever had! We had requested a quiet room and got... More

We stayed in Spadia for 2 nights during our honeymoon. We booked it because it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. From the entrance right through to leaving everything was fab. The standards are fantastic and the staff are brilliant. The room was very clean and we loved the nightly turn down. Also an added benefit... More

This hotel is amazing. It's 200 yards from the centre of Florence, the Cathedral, on a pedestrianised street. Our room was fabulous and the breakfast was top notch. The decor and furnishings are beautiful and there is a 360 panoramic view of the city and the famed Cathedral dome from their atrium on the 5th floor. They have a valet... More

We were delighted with this hotel and found it to be well beyond 4 star in terms of service, style, and amenities. The room was perfectly quiet (even though it faced Via Martelli). The decor was beautiful, the bathroom huge and all clean and modern. It was wonderful to have a full range of bar snacks and the breakfast buffet was delicious.... More

We stayed three nights in hotel Spadai, in Florence, Italy. The hotel location couldn't be any better, only a two minute walk to the Duomo, shops, and restaurants. The staff members were very friendly and helpful upon on our arrivals and welcomed us with proseco. The stylish modern rooms were kept very clean as the staff would freshen up and... More

Booked at the last minute and glad I did. The hotel is 2 minute walk from the Duomo, tastefully decorated, fresh and clean, breakfast buffet is great and so is the complimentary happy hour snacks in the lobby. The entire staff is friendly and attentive, but one ladies at the front desk went truly above and beyond. After I already... More

Stayed with family in a suite for a night on our way to Lucca. The small entrance belies the overall size. The decor is modern and comfortable on the eye. The reception greeting was very good and the service was friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were well appointed and having seen our friends' rooms, I can say they seem... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
