Very good location, 2 to 5 mins walk to the cathedral and shopping areas. Many restaurants nearby as well. About 10 mins walk to the train station. Hotel service is very good and free buffet breakfast is ok on the selection and quality. Will stay here again if coming back to Florence.

We arrived later than expected, this was due to airport transfer difficulties.Checking in was faultless,as it was 20:20,we asked for a nearby restaurant recommendation. The delightful Jessica advised us that there was a complimentary buffet at the bar, which would normally finish a 20:30,but they would extend the time for us.....How grateful were we.This is just one of the many little touches that...

I had researched extensively for our trip to Italy in early November and chose this hotel based on the location, price, and reviews. I was not disappointed. We were able to check in early and had a very comfortable modern room. We loved the mattress, it felt like memory foam but not sure what it actually is....The hotel has a...

When we arrived they were preparing their Christmas displays which involved a lot of drilling so we were a little concerned however from then on we were very happy with our experience at the Hotel Spadai. It is located just around the corner from the Duomo, and within easy walking distance of all the sights in Florence. Was also a...

Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Florence. They go out of their way to make sure any request is handled and it is done with a smile. From time of check in, to daily breakfast and everything in between, the staff makes sure every little detail has been thought of.

Unfortunately we only had one night at this hotel. It was perfect. Great beds & breakfasts. Rooms were elegant, classic & modern with a very luxurious feel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. On the 5th floor there is a viewing platform to see the surrounding rooftop views.

We stayed at hotel Spadai for 3 nights in May. You can't ask for a better location. The hotel was really nice with great service. The staff helped us with all the dinner reservations. The room was very clean and great size (specially for European hotels). Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Our family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights last week and had a wonderful experience overall. The staff was pleasant and efficient and the hotel is traditional chic. We had a suite which was the perfect size for our family. The pull out sofa was surprisingly comfortable and the main bed was perfectly comfy. We had a view of...

I have had the pleasure of staying in many hotels worldwide but I can honestly say the the Hotel Spadai gave my wife and I one of the most memorable experiences yet. Beginning with the location, it certainly can't be beat. Step out of the front door of the hotel, look left and what greets you is the stunning Duomo...

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
