This was our second visit to wonderful Florence and first to Hotel Spadai. Our pick was based on TripAdvisor reviews. Exceptional choice. Book with confidence as this hotel is as good as their standing in TripAdvisor. To summarize pros: location, room, bed and pillow comfort, noise canceling rooms, the breakfast (we really liked the breakfast and coffee), bar and happy...

We only stayed here for 1 night which was a shame. Upon check in we were upgraded to larger rooms which was such a treat as we had been travelling around Europe for 4 weeks and all had bad colds. The rooms were lovely and included robes, slippers and free mini bar. The bathrooms were generous with space which is...

Just returned from 3 nights at the Spadai. Everything was perfect, the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The location is fantastic, the room spotless with an amazingly comfortable bed. I had a terrible cold and the lady in charge of breakfast had lemon tea, fresh ginger and honey delivered to my room, which was a lovely gesture. A great...

We spent three wonderful nights at this fantastic hotel in August 2016. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for dinner. The hotel is conveniently located, about a block from the Basilica and walking distance to all attractions. Breakfast was delicious and the food was plentiful. Snacks were...

This is a modern. clean hotel with highly functional rooms (multiple USB ports for your devices, very nice shower and bath, comfortable bed) to make your stay seamlessly enjoyable. Once you add in the stocked and free mini-bar for easy access to cold beverages, and the breakfast that is free for most room packages and the great happy hour downstairs...

In the city center of Florence, all attractions, restaurants, shops are just nearby! Speaking English fluently, staff here are very friendly, helpful and nice. They freely upgraded the room as a surprise of our honeymoon trip!!! Moreover, all snacks and drinks in the room are complimentary.

From the moment we entered, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff to help with check in as well as our baggage and getting us settled in. We received an upgrade, and the junior suite that we were given was fantastic! Beautiful room and sitting area and bathroom, that made for a very comfortable stay! Everything was very clean and...

Best part of this hotel is the location. It is accessible by Taxi, which makes drop off and pickup super convenient. At the same time, its walking distance to the cathedral which is the pulse and heart of Florence. This gives u access to all the attractions and restaurants. We also took bike tours from tour agencies nearby and there...

Our family of 5 (with adult children) stayed her for 3 nights in December 2016. Excellent location.....literally 100 meters to the Dome, and on a car free walking strip with cafe's etc. Upon arrival, the hotel staff are warm & welcoming (perhaps not the best reception/check in set up though as there is very little space available on the counter...

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
