We loved this hotel. Our room was pretty, well organized, and looked out over the lovely street. It looks as if it had been recently renovated. It had a great build in closet big enough to hold all of clothes and things. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Bright, cheerful, and charming and only a few blocks from the Duomo.

Location, location, located... in the heart of central Florence, we were within easy walking distance of the major tourist sites - Santa Maria del Fiore (el Duomo), Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, Galleria Accademia (The David), and Piazza Republica. Just a few steps farther and you are at the bridge Ponte Vecchio and the Osteria community where you will find the Pitti Palace. From our balcony we could see el Duomo and the Campanella. Step out of the entrance of the hotel, turn right go one block and you are standing at the Baptistry, Duomo and Campanella. Step out of the hotel entrance and walk across the street and you are in the Piazza Rebublica. Step out and turn left and you are standing at Orsanmichele (interior currently under renovation). You can not get a better hotel location for site-seeing in Florence. The rooms were very nice. We had a single on the 1st floor facing Calzaiuoli and the street noise was not an issue at all. We also had a double on the 2nd floor facing the Duomo with a balcony, which was very nice. The hotel has a lift, so moving luggage was not an issue. The breakfast each morning was outstanding - hot dishes, as well as, traditional continental items (pastries, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc). The staff spoke passable English and were helpful in getting reservations to events, and calling taxi when needed. …

My daughter and I loved our stay here with our friends. It is centrally located with plenty of amazing cafes, restaurants, shopping steps away and beautiful views. Our room was very comfortable with lush towels, robe and slippers. The morning breakfast was excellent and evening Prosecco was a nice treat in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I cannot wait to return.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Florence. It’s a very short walk from all the places you’d like to visit in the city - shopping, museums, cafes/restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and helps you with booking tours, cabs and anything else you’d need. They also had a free drink happy hour every evening during our stay (not sure if this is a regular thing). The breakfast spread is little smaller than what I’ve seen in other hotels but everything tasted good. The rooms were a decent size - we excepted them to be smaller given the prime location but were happily surprised. The view from the room was something out of a postcard! Special shoutout to Sara at reception for helping us with the booking and ensuring we had the perfect time!

I have stayed here many times over the past 20 years and each time it's better and better. The hotel is in the ideal location in Florence and impossible to find a more centrally located spot. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and the breakfast and coffee every morning is amazing! The staff is helpful with suggestions for dinner, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wow- this hotel was truly exceptional. It’s right in the heart of Florence… steps away from the Duomo and Uffizi. The service is incredible and the breakfast is quite nice. The staff is very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure your every need is met. The bedrooms and baths are typical sized for a European hotel and the beds are very comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Can’t be beat!

What a beautiful and centrally located hotel in the heart of Florence. They nicely accommodated our larger than usual group. I loved opening the gorgeous windows to view and listen to the liveliness of the streets and let in some fresh air. The housekeeping staff was top notch and always made sure we had fresh towels and our evening chocolate and water. The beautiful hotel breakfast will be missed and the breakfast staff was amazingly pleasant and accommodating. Enjoyed it all!

I found Hotel Calzaiuoli online after reading about the best locations to stay when in Florence. This was a perfect location - central to everything and walking friendly. There was Prosecco and juice every afternoon/evening in the lobby. That was a wonderful welcome. The breakfast was excellent and the waitstaff made sure everyone had what they wanted/needed. Rooms were a bit small, but beds were comfortable and we did not travel to stay inside, so they were perfect. There were eight of us traveling. Everyone loved this hotel. If I return to Florence, I will surely stay here again. Grazie Mille!

High Five to everyone. Excellent location, super welcoming Staff & room maintenance much appreciated. Hotel has the old world charm with all modern conveniences. The little touches - large fluffy towels, robe & slippers, room diffuser in addition to chocolate at nightly service just to name a few. All much appreciated.
