The location of the hotel was great, in the middle of everything and 2 mins from taxi rank but hotel would call taxi service if requested. I found all staff friendly and very helpful with my requirements which could be difficult on at least 1 occasion. The only reason full marks not given was the breakfast which was just an average breakfast, no decaf coffee. room, bed and shower all good, had a great nights sleep and would stay again if ever I visit Florence again. Totally enjoyed my stay and checked in again for my last night in Italy. Also reasonably priced, found nothing to complain about really
We stayed four nights in the Prestige room with Cathedral View. The view is spectacular, and the main room has been decorated really nicely, with strong design touches. The location of the hotel is superb: mid-way between the Cathedral and the Palazzo Vechio. On the negative side, breakfast was fairly mediocre for the price, even given Covid restrictions (we've had much better in similar class hotels this summer). The room was pretty noisy at night / first thing in the morning (with street noise, which starts at about 6:00am), as was the noise coming in from the corridor outside the room. We could also have done with more drawer space in the room. The bathroom is also a bit tired and needs renovating.
The best thing about this hotel is it’s perfect location. It is a few minutes away from the Duomo on one side and a couple of minutes to Uffizi museum on the other. They have a very small lobby and have only one small lift. The reception staff are very friendly and our check in was pretty smooth. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the street. They still use physical keys to open the door which was a bit of a bother when we were getting stuff in. The room was slightly on the smaller side but the ceiling was very high, giving a sense of space. There was not enough room to walk and even walking past the chair to go the window side of the bed was a tight squeeze. The bathroom was clean but small. The shower area was particularly small and there was very little room to manoeuvre in the bathroom. They provided all expected toiletries and amenities. The towels were not of high-quality and the fluff would stick to our face and body. We got a couple of torn towels too. The breakfast was included in the price and was served on the first floor. The fresh breakfast was served in the adjoining room and only one person/couple was allowed at one time. It was a very ordinary spread. Tea and coffee was available in the main breakfasting area. The quality of breakfast was not good at all and was repealed every day. The jam croissants were finished when we went at 9.30 one day. As only cooked eggs and bacons were served, there was no hot breakfast for vegetarians. This hotel felt more like a 3* hotel in a fabulous location. We were there for 3 nights and liked it just for its location. …
Friendly staff, location, cleanliness, newly renovated, breakfast....everything was perfect. There is nothing to complaint about. A special mention to Vittoria, was absolutely outstanding. I will certainly be back.
Lovely traditional boutique steps to the duomo. Clean rooms friendly staff. Go there soon for the city Art and ambiance and the delicious breakfast😊 No carpet in rooms is a plus.......we stayed 5 days. Try the new Venchii for gelato right across the street.
