We stayed here during our honeymoon in Florence and were very impressed with the hotel. It has an absolutely beautiful view of the Duomo from its rooftop patio. I highly recommend a drink under the stars. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet on the patio had the best selection of any hotel we stayed at throughout our trip of Italy. Very good...

Absolutely loved my stay at the Kraft Hotel. It is an excellent location, within walking distance of the city centre. The room was comfortable and had a small balcony with a table which was a nice spot for a cup of tea! I was only there for a weekend but would have been very happy to stay longer! Breakfast was...

An excellent hotel close to the main railway station and a beautiful short walk along the river to the city centre of Florence. The hotel staff were excellent, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great which was served in the restaurant with lovely rooftop views over Florence. We also had lunch at the restaurant which was good....

Hotel around 10 minute walk from train station (once you get your bearings). Reception efficient, and room spacious. Roof top bar/terrace provides wonderful views across Florence, with a roof-top swimming pool on a mezzanine, (unfortunately closed during our February stay!). Location allows you to walk along river bank within 1 minute walk, or to explore various streets running to main...

Recently had 3 night stay at the Kraft. Located close to train station and about 10/15 minute walk along the river into the city centre proper. Our room overlooked the street frontage and had a nice little balcony, however, it was a bit too cool to take advantage of it. The living area is older style but adequate whilst bathroom...

This is a lovely little hotel set in a quiet area minutes walk from the river and bus and train stations. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a decent selection for breakfast with freshly made coffee and tea to order. Yes the walls are a bit thin but how often will you be in your room in...

We have just returned from a 2 day break in Florence staying at the Kraft Hotel. Whilst the hotel is situated in a great location approximately 10 minutes walk from the station and many of the tourist attractions we found the hotel to be average and very basic. During our 2 day stay we found that we were woken at...

Fantastic hotel. The restaurant is on the top floor with brilliant views overlooking Florence. No where better to have dinner or breakfast. The staff were attentive and the food was out of this world. I cannot praise it enough, and this is where my partner proposed............What more can I say

Our recent stay was very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. Great view from roof terrace and about 15 minute walk from Station. Also around 15 mins from Cathedral which is a must visit during any stay. Breakfast was OK although not very much choice. Rooms are spacious with 4 English news channels.

Breakfast was delightful with a stunning rooftop view of the ancient city. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
