This is a nice hotel, nearby to Santa Maria Novella train station, has a nice restaurant at the roof with a good selection of local and internacional dishes, there is a pool on the top that hotel claims to be temperature controlled but we didn’t...More
I will start with the positives: the view from the restaurant and roof top is spectacular. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, about ten minutes. There was a fair selection in the continental breakfast. The staff are all friendly and polite....More
This was the first hotel on our trip. Without any expectations, what a great place to start! The room was perfect size for 2 people. It was clean and had a view of the street but that was ok because the view from the roof...More
It was a lovely hotel with perfect breakfast. The front desk staff was very attentive and helpful with reservations and tickets to attractions. Florence is the place for romance and culture. The smaller European city feel without too much pretense.
We spent 3 nights in January booked through Broadway travel. Easy to find 20 mins walk from the train station. Friendly staff with good English. Clean room we had the classic so not huge. Had a walk in shower. Rooftop swimming pool heated and though...More
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
