Once I negotiated those stairs with my luggage I absolutely loved the room and my own private bathroom. Julio is a great host and gave me top advice on places I wanted to go and things I wanted to see. You are right in the middle of Florence steps away from the Duomo and San Lorenzo markets where you can... More

The location is ideal because the B&B is literally very close to Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, there is also a stunning view from one of the room balcony to the famous Brunelleschi Chapel. I really want to thank the staff to be so patience and help me to feel comfortable during my stay in Florence. High recommended

Literally steps away from Dumom square. Great accommodations, beds were comfortable, staff extremely friendly, especially Julio. Only complaint was I couldn't stay longer, as I could have easily spent a few weeks there. I would highly recommend it. I will be back! Eric S

Stayed in the 4-5 person room and booked last minute. Was very impressed with the room! It had a small kitchenette and plenty of room. But I saw some of the other rooms and it looked like it could have been a little small. It was also in a very central location! Some reviewers complained about the noise but I... More

We were lucky enough to stay in a top floor room with a view of the Duomo and an outside balcony with table and chairs. What an absolutely wonderful experience in Florence! There are many stairs to climb, as others have mentioned. But this is true of many small Italian hotels. The room was lovely and bathrooms clean and had... More

We stayed 3 nights in Bel Duomo and had a nice stay. Room was clean and spacious. Location was perfect to walk every where to the main attractions. No noise from the outside. Giulio guided us well in regards to food and where to go. Near by breakfast cafe and restaurants recommended by him were awesome. Thanks Giulio.

Florence was my favorite city in all of Italy. The guesthouse Bel Duomo was centrally located very convenient clean and comfy I'd highly recommend it and the city as well. Less than one block from the Duomo and surrounded by many Gelato stands, restaurants and fun inviting coffee shops and bars. I highly recommend this city and this place as... More

This hotel was surprisingly very inviting. I really wasn't sure what to expect when I entered the building as there was a very long climb to the third floor. However what awaits you is very inviting, bright and clean. The room was rather large, a balcony with a view of the back of the Duomo. The bathroom was large enough... More

Had a great trip here. The hotel is centrally located although pretty difficult to find from the train station if it's your first time. You're right next to the Duomo at the street with a big green pharmacy sign. Situated near the markets, not too far from the ponte vecchio either. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, location perfect, staff very helpful. Our room didn't have an en-suite but we all ready knew this booking, we thought that maybe the bathroom would be next door or adjacent to the room - not a short walk across the hotel reception and waiting area. Previous guest or cleaner left our skylight open on arrival,... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
