We were staying one night in Florence only, therefore were looking for hotel which would be conveninetly located. And this was PERFECT choice. Extraordinary hotel, located practically in the heart of Florence. All the most important attractions of the city within walking distance. Perfect one also for late evening walk - we have checked it by ourselves. Parking issue perfectly... More

Ok, so Florence is a must! The Balestri was great. Newly renovated spacious modern rooms/bathrooms. The reception staff are super and arranged for us to go on a private car castle and wine tour! Was really fabulous. The hotel is in a great spot with river views.

We got a really good deal on this hotel. The location was perfect - literally two minutes away from Ufizzi gallery. Rooms are very modern and the breakfast had a nice selection of cold cuts, cheese, bread. You have to pay for the valley parking, but it saves you a lot of time on driving around looking for public parking... More

I really enjoyed this hotel. I got a rooftop room with wonderful views of the river and ponte vechio. The design and attention to details was amazing. The room was spotless and the bathroom was very spacious and all marble. The breakfast was also really good. Normally Italian hotels have very basic breakfasts but this was something else. I've attached... More

This hotel is ideally located for the main attractions of Florence and it means you can nip back for a siesta if needed. A particular pleasure was being able to listen to classical buskers late at night just up the street at the Uffizi and then stroll down to bed. The breakfast is very good. Some of the rooms seem... It was our second visit to Florence and this time we stayed in the Hotel Balestri. We arrived by train and it took approximate 20 minutes to walk (past the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio) to the hotel which overlooks the river. Our room was located on the third floor and overlooked the river. The windows could be opened but... More

A wonderful little hotel just a few minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio - and the rest of Florence. Very kind and helpful staff. Very comfortable room. The city view from the balcony outside our room on the 5th floor was spectacular. A great place to sit with a drink and enjoy the beautiful view over Florence. I would happily... More

Lovely hotel with all the mod cons. Very clean and sleek hotel right on the river. We had great views. Only gripe was the fridge wasn't cold at all and got someone to look at it but didn't make a difference and light switches in bathroom in a very awkward spot. Apart from those minor issues would stay again. Breakfast... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
