This was a great "boutique" hotel, and so close to inner city Florence . Was there with a large group , and tour director had done her research, because we all loved this place. I definitely plan to return someday, because of course... 2 days is not enough in this city. Beds comfortable, service wonderful and friendly, and great breakfasts, too.
A hotel full of charm with selected items that makes the personal touch in interior . Great location with walking distance to center of Florence. The hotels atmosphere is lovely. The breakfast with Italian specialities and the best cappuccino - we enjoyed the start of every day during our stay. The people in the hotel so supportive and the man in the bar always with a smile. We will return since we got a new favorite here.
Advertised as 4* !! Check in receptionist not at all welcoming, just couldn't be bothered. Dangerous loose handrail on the stairs,I had to earn other guests! Bath wouldn't hold water! broken pop up waste, and was told to use my fingernails to adjust it !! So much grime behind the bathroom taps, stained toilet, the list goes on, desperately needs a clean!! I would class 2* at best. Communal carpets always in need of a vacuum, especially the skirting edges as I don't think the vacuum has ever reached there!! Bedroom was acceptable, nice mattress, but dreadful cheap foam filled lumpy pillow :( Good breakfast with attentive servers :) lovely coffee. Decent location, but definitely not 4*.
We stayed at Hotel Cellai, located close to the old town, however, offered lots af ambiance in its own right. Cozy seating areas at the ground floor, including a small Library Bar, which opens at 5PM. In the neighbourhood, you will find great restaurants and cafes, which only adds to your pleasure options when staying in this part of town. Our best recommendations.
Amazing location. Great staff. Great sized rooms. Clean etc. The price was also great for the location and type of hotel. I would highly recommend. About a 20-30 minute ride from the airport but that’s the case with most of the hotels in the area you want to be in.
Great spot ! We had a great time here, everybody has been very friendly with us and made our stay so special and decoration it’s just amazing. What a great breakfast, I simply loved it ! Can’t wait to come back
Great Location, Beautiful Hotel. Amazing food, Kind and helpful Staff. I would stay at the Hotel Cellai again!! Our room was beyond our expectations, the roof top balcony was a great place to read and enjoy the views.
This hotel was excellent. The people that work there were great servers. The room was always clean and my wife and are telling everyone how great it was and when we go back we will be staying at Hotel Cellai.
We were here in the "before times" (2019) and we returned this last month. It was even better than the last time, not an easy feat given the pandemic. The staff is welcoming and helpful (and many were the same as our last visit). Our room was much more spacious than the last time, so ask about the sizes of the rooms when you book. There is a wonderful breakfast with a a wide variety of pastries, eggs, juice, yogurt and cheese included and the breakfast staff is also very friendly and helpful. I would suggest the rooftop terrace later at night to relax. (If you climb up the steps once there you can see the Duomo). If you have a disability, please note that there are 4-5 steps you have to climb to get to the elevator. We told them it was our anniversary and they left us a nice bottle of wine in our room. The location is a bit of a walk from the Duomo (maybe 10-15 minutes) and about a mile to the Ponte Vecchio and a shorter walk to the Mercato Centrale. The Wifi comes and goes at times. This is not a business hotel but more geared to couples or solo travelers. There were a lot of Italians there early in our trip and then more Brits. I emailed them several times after I had made the reservation and they responded promptly and made a dinner reservation that I had requested. The price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.…
A splendid visit. Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful and provided us with exactly what we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the location was brilliant. Only a 10 minute walk from the Duomo but far enough away to feel slightly tranquil. We had a wonderful stay!
