We booked hotel last minute because we wanted an overnight stay in Florence. We needed location close to attractions because of our short stay. The hotel is family owned, it is old and in need of updating and repairs. The bathrooms were old style and very small. The rooms were not clean and had broken a broken window covering as well as furniture. The price was affordable, but you get what you pay for. The staff was otherwise very friendly and accommodating during our limited interactions.
A lovely hotel with traditional features. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The location was excellent, right in the centre of florence and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was great, lots of choice.
Hotel was in great location for sight seeing and train station, lots of bars and cafes nearby too. Room was very comfortable and good value for money. Hotel itself was very nice and also staff were very nice and helpful
My daughter and I stayed here 3 nights in September. The 3rd floor room was large, simply furnished with a lovely view over the rooftops of Florence including 2 cathedral domes. The king bed was very comfortable and the single sofa bed was good too. This is a traditional old hotel with simple updates, not a luxury hotel, and was reasonably priced. Hotel is in the center of Florence, walking distance to the train station, covered market, Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, many restaurants and shops. It’s possible to make a very good breakfast from the options in the dining room. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely choose the Paris Hotel again.
Hotel is in a great location, close to the train station and tourist attractions. The room we stayed in was huge and very clean. Breakfast had a pretty good selection. Friendly staff. Would recommend this place.
Other reviews have said the hotel is dated. We walked past many modern hotels whilst in Florence and they looked soulless and somehow out of place. The Paris Hotel is perfect in terms of location (close to all the main attractions and also the train station). The staff are also extremely helpful, Gianni reserved a table at a local restaurant for us before we arrived. If you want a comfortable room at a very reasonable price I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
Traditional hotel that is perfectly located with incredibly friendly staff! Rooms are very clean and simple but has everything you need. Everything is a short walk away, from the central station to all the main sites!
I couldn't have landed on a better hotel for my first time in Florence and my first time travelling alone! The hotel is in the perfect spot - close enough to all the tourist attractions but far enough that you don't feel like you're in the middle of everything. The room was small and simple, but had everything I needed, and a wonderful view of Basilica di San Lorenzo out of my bedroom window (and of the Duomo if I leaned out a little!) The room also had a really high ceiling, so it felt a lot bigger than it was. This isn't a sleek, modern hotel, but that was nice - it wasn't soulless and I felt like I was getting a real taste of Florence. They also provide a couple of bottles of water in the fridge, which was perfect for the 37c heat! The staff were great - always helpful when I needed anything, and they will make restaurant reservations for you as well. All great when it's your first time in a city alone! I really enjoyed my stay - so much that I've booked to go again next week!…
Very good location , nice staff . Bathroom in our room needed attention , mouldy black mastic , hairdryer out of a museum . No tea / coffee in room . All needed decorating. Very dingy . The breakfast was cheap and cheerful , watered down orange juice , hard boiled eggs like bullets , equipment old and needs replacing
Great location. Last day I was suppose switch rooms to a smaller room, they let me stay in the same room at no extra charge. Room was large and beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful. Will definitely stay at this hotel when I return next year. This hotel exceeded my expectations.
