Difficult to reach by car tho but once arrived we enjoyed our stay very much. First night we stayed in room with double bed, which wasnt so comfortable for us. Next morning we mentioned to reception we didnt sleep well and we missed out to ask for a king size bed before arrival. We asked if possible we could get a room with king size bed, which we received. We even got upgraded. So not expected. Very nice gesture of hotel & their staff. Breakfast has lots of options, loved the juice corner very much. We recommend this hotel very much and will come back again.
What a fantastic place! From the moment we arrived to the time we left we could not fault the service, and commitment to making this the best experience for the guests. From the welcome at the door, through front of house and reception, to the housekeeping team and the restaurant and bar staff, nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted with a friendly, smiling response. We were greeted by name at breakfast, after the first morning, and they had remembered what we liked to eat, drink and where we preferred to sit. Nothing was too much trouble. They ensured that the excellent buffet was always fully stocked - even if it was near the end of breakfast. The juice station made excellent, and personalised, juices, and they remembered what we liked so it was ready for us! The reception team we so incredibly helpful and polite, it was lovely to talk with them. We had a problem with taxis on the bank holiday, and were stranded on the outskirts of the city. One call to the reception team and they sorted out a taxi to pick us up and regularly checked to keep us up to date with when it would arrive. They even checked that the taxi had picked us up. Brilliant service. The food at the restaurant and bar was super. We celebrated a birthday whilst staying with them and they provided an outstanding cake, as well as an excellent dinner. We had light lunch as well - again, absolutely lovely. The bar team were great, and again, remembered the sort of thing we liked, and suggested this as we sat down. They were extremely patient and polite with my poor attempt at Italian and made me feel that it was worth making the effort to speak the language. The location is great - so near the Duomo, the main areas, museums, etc., and wonderful for people watching. The rooms were comfortable (we loved the beds) and very clean, and the staff so great. We absolutely loved staying there and will be back…
This was our second stay here, the first being February 2020 just before the world shut down. We were not disappointed . Our room, though not large was quiet and very comfortable. The standard of cleanliness was immaculate and it was such a luxury to slip into silky clean sheets each night. Everything about this hotel a team who have their clients at the centre and the standard of service is superb. From check in to check out, my partner and I were made to feel special. I cannot fault anything: breakfast, dinner, decor and ambiance. This hotel ticks every box for me.
Fabulous location, breakfast very good and waiter staff very friendly. Whilst clearly a very nice hotel we had some niggles which should not be occurring in a hotel of this standard. We had to ask to be moved from our first room because there was no WIFI and it turned out the hotel knew that the room did not have WIFI which was unacceptable. We spent our first night in that room and the tv also welcomed a different guest name. We were then moved to a different room which was nice however the television would not switch off (discovered at 12.00am) and had to be unplugged by staff as difficult to get to. This was not resolved until the evening before we left on a 5 day break. The shower door also leaked which meant the bathroom floor was always wet and the safe door was extremely stiff. Whilst these issues are not major and did not spoil the holiday, I think that when you pay top dollar for one of the best hotels in Florence, you do expect things to be right first time. Finally, the reception staff whilst always smart, polite and efficient, did seem rather cold and could and should have been much more friendly. A smile goes a long way. …
This was our 3rd stay at the Brunelleschi, as always an exceptional experience. Customer service is fantastic, rooms are impeccable. We have always had great service and will stay again whenever in Florence.
The hotel, the rooms, the service, the food, were all exceptional. We came from New York and we were treated beautifully at this charming historic hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated with Friendly, helpful, courteous, and first class care. The charm of being in Florence was heightened by this beautiful hotel. I would not hesitate to go back or to recommend staying here.
We stayed at the Brunelleschi Hotel Florence and had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and taken care of. The staff was professional, yet friendly and approachable. Sergio helped us plan a wonderful tour of Tuscany on very short notice! Location was perfect. We set out walking in the morning and returned in the evening to warm greetings at our home away from home. The room was great and the breakfast in the morning was unbelievable. And don’t miss a visit to the hotel’s Museo. So wonderful the way history has a prominent place at the Brunelleschi. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
This was our 3rd time at The Brunelleschi! Every bit as wonderful as I remembered it! The staff is amazing from the front desk welcoming us back like family. to the breakfast staff! The buffet breakfast is amazing! fresh juices and smoothies, eggs, bacon waffles, cheeses, pancakes! The perfect way to start your day in Florence! I also have to mention the location! You are in the center of everything and literally two blocks from the Duomo! We had a suite on the 3rd floor, big comfortable bed and a huge bathroom! One of my all time favorite hotels! This hotel is a GEM!
Everyone at the property went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, specially Rafaele. If you have a chance, don’t pass the 2 Michelin star restaurant, what an gastronomic experience! I’d recommend this hotel over and over again.
This is a long review, but I have to share this story. I have stayed at the Brunelleschi four times but due to late booking no rooms were available for my most recent trip. The accommodations are always top-notch, great rooms, great views, great food, perfect location - just an excellent hotel. On nearly every visit I've had the pleasure of working with Paulus, a concierge at the front desk. In the past Paulus has helped with shipping, answered questions, even walked with us to a restaurant to make sure we could get a table, gave us tips for tours, taxis - always above and beyond. Last week when I was in Florence - staying at an Airbnb and not at the hotel, I had a question about where we should go to ship packages back to the US (because we had zero luck finding a place on our own...and we tried) and also about the best way to get a taxi at 4am. Paulus was at the front desk! I showed him photos of us together on a previous trip just so he wouldn't think I was a flake. I asked him where we should go to box and ship some items home - I JUST WANTED A RECOMMENDATION. Before I could even get my question out - he said, "Bring me your items and I'll take care of it all." I explained again that I was not staying at the hotel - it did not matter to him. HE HANDLED EVERYTHING FOR US! All we did was fill out some shipping and payment information. He would not let us even box up our items. AMAZING. AND - he arranged for a taxi to be at the hotel at 4am the day we were to leave, and he offered for a porter to pick up our bags at the Airbnb (which I just could not accept). But wait, it gets even better - when we arrived with our bags at 3:45 am, Paulus had arranged for us to have boxed breakfasts ready and waiting for us. I am still in shock about this level of service and especially his kindness. Again, the service and the kindness of Paulus will never be forgotten. Paulus will never know how much all of this meant to me. I'll be back in Florence in 2023 and making arrangements to stay at the Brunelleschi will be the first thing I do. …
