I have terminal cancer and was taking a trip with my son, trying to make up for lost time. Given my condition, a good night’s rest is really important for me. The room was well appointed, had good blackout shades and the air conditioning kept us nice and cool. In addition, the staff were wonderful and the location is convenient to the train station and many historical sites. We had a great visit- thank you!

Negative = The most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in and not really worth it. Air conditioning not working. Absolutely boiling in the room. Bathroom stinks of sewerage. No information given by reception staff when we checked-in. In fact, we were made to feel like a nuisance everytime we tried to speak to the reception staff. Positives = the housekeeping staff kept our room clean and gave little gifts which was much appreciated. Location was convenient. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive.

Booked via Flight Centre, arrived late at night after a 24-hour flight. The front desk was polite and welcoming as they checked us in. The room was clean but small, even for just two people. Air-conditioning was disabled and this made our 4 night stay slightly uncomfortable. Breakfast was quite disappointing for a 4-star hotel, but wait staff were pleasant. The hotel location was quite good and handy, accessible on foot to all the usual attractions. So, after paying Flight Centre very good money for a 4 Star experience, while not terrible, I definitely don't rate Adriatico as a Grand 4-stars, 3 maybe, but certainly not 4.

Stayed here in March 2024 as a couple. About 5-7 minutes walk from the Firenze S.M train station and within the City Centre where you can walk around to various restaurants, malls, shopping centers. Bus stations close to the hotel at the end of the road at a 5 min walk. We reached towards late evening and were immediately allotted a nice room. We had opted for a Comfort Double Room which was allotted on a higher floor as per our request. A nice, clean, compact room with a decent sized bathroom and toiletries (bath tub, toilet paper, towels, napkins and shampoo, body wash, soaps and other amenities). There was daily housekeeping/replenishment for the 3N we stayed. Since it was almost end of winter in Italy, we did not need the heater nor the AC and the room was comfortable. Buffet Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a huge spread and great taste, not at all crowded. Overall, an excellent stay and would definitely recommend staying here as this hotel was just perfect, centrally located, great rooms and bathrooms, excellent breakfast and value for money! Thank you Grand Hotel Adriatico Florence for the wonderful hospitality and we would definitely stay here again!

I chose this title because on the streets of Florence, I stumbled upon a hotel/restaurant with a sign that read this, and upon reading and understanding the joke, I said to my children: "This should be written on our hotel..." The expression of finding a hotel to sleep at night was completely violated by this establishment. After finishing two consecutive night shifts at my workplace and enduring a tiring journey, I was looking forward to arriving in Florence and at the hotel to have a few days of rest with my family, but that's precisely what didn't happen. Out of the 4 nights we spent here, the first two I hardly slept at all. It felt like a haunted room; the lights simply turned on by themselves during the night, and I couldn't turn them off. I had to remove the key card and wait for all the electricity to be shut down, then put the card back in to have the power to charge our phones and have light in the bathroom. It woke everyone up, especially the kids, which was a nightmare. Of course, I complained in the morning, and a technician supposedly came to the room to fix the problem. The second night, totally worn out from exhaustion and lack of sleep, everything was the same. It was 3 in the morning, and I had to call reception to solve the problem, a true hell, and another sleepless night... Finally, the next morning, they decided to move us to another room since they couldn't solve the mystery problem with the lights. So, out of the 4 nights we spent here, 2 of them we didn't sleep or rest at all. Of course, we lodged a complaint because in my opinion, we shouldn't even have to pay for those nights, but without success or any kind of compensation. Incidents aside, the hotel is worn-out and old, and the decoration is very retro (but understandable since we're in Florence). The bathroom is terrible because you can't take a relaxed shower since the shower floods the entire bathroom floor (for a hotel that claims to care about the environment, it's terrible because I had to use almost all the towels to put them on the floor to walk), the air conditioning didn't work several nights, and the breakfast was very, very poor for a 4-star hotel. For me, the only positive points were the excellent cleanliness, congratulations to the cleaning staff, and the friendliness of all the hotel staff. Unfortunately, these positive aspects are not enough to compensate for all the other negative aspects. The hotel is extremely expensive for what it offers; there are undoubtedly better options to stay in Florence.

Room was lovely with all you need, coffee, mini bar, wifi,tv ect. All the staff were fantastic but would like to say a big thank you to Ellena head of house keeping for buying flowers and chocolates for us to be in room on arrival. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was located near the river and was very convenient to the train station as well as shopping, restaurants and a local laundry mat just outside. The hotel was clean. Staff were helpful and professional. WiFi worked well throughout the hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The only short coming was the provided breakfast. It was of the lowest quality we had during our 4 hotels in Italy. Eggs were cold and wet, bacon sat in its own oil and was limp, coffee and cappuccino were very bitter. It was the same all 3 days. We opted out. So we would stay there again but would not consider the breakfast a benefit. Late checkout at 1 made our checkout very easy!

The room was a romantic with a balcony. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful especially letting us stay an extra night in the same room when our flights were cancelled due to a storm. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Would stay again

We went to Europe for 3 weeks and travelled France and all over Italy. This is the worst hotel we stayed at! This hotel is not 4 stars, maybe it was back in the day but not today. I rate this hotel 2 star level. The hotel is very dated and the service is horrible. Our toilet leaked the entire trip which had a brown stain on it and they did nothing to fix it. I cringed everytime I entered the room. I even tried to find another hotel so we can leave asap. Do not stay here!!!!!!!

Beautiful modern hotel with very comfortable room. Found the bed a little too firm for myself but did sleep well. Great location. 15 mins easy walking into the central part of Florence. Great choices at breakfast and lively staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very enjoyable stay. Thankyou.
