Staff were friendly, place was clean, but a lot of minus points. Our room was tiny & dark. The only window looked onto a ventilation shaft. Although it was almost empty, we were not allowed an upgrade unless we paid a lot of money. Bathroom was unventilated. I expected dressing gowns, slippers, coffee making facilities for a supposedly 4* hotel. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Order in advance - OK because of Covid, but the selection was abysmal. Nasty wet ham (like supermarkets' cheapo), spam-like mortadella, tasteless cheese. Bread rolls that could break your teeth, or a measly single slice of toast. Covid is no excuse for poor quality food.

Dear Qchri, Thank you for being our Guest and for having chosen our Hotel. I am sorry to learn that you didn't like your room and the brekfast. As far as the room is concerned, I would like to point out that - unlike you wrote - the hotel was sold out during the dates of your stay. We only had Suites available. You booked a basic room and we couldn't really make an upgrade to a Suite free of charge. Gowns, slippers and coffee making facilities are availble free of charge in our Superior rooms, but we would have given to you free of charge if you only asked for them. As far as the breakfast is concerned, we will take into consideration your comments; on the other side, I have to clarify that this is your respectable opinion, but it is not the general opinion of our Clients. Anyway, thank you so much for having shared your comments. We hope to see you soon back to the Pierre!

We chose the Hotel Pierre because it was within walking distance of the station and all the main sites eg Uffizi, Accademia, Pitti Palace, Santa Croce etc. It was also near many restaurants so we found it easy to find places for our evening meal. The breakfast is available on the fourth floor and is a substantial buffet of cereal, fruit, bread, cheese , cold meats etc. The waitress makes fresh cappucchino to order. There is a charge for cooked breakfast but it is not neccessary when there are so many other foods available. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful - printing out our boarding passes and looking after our luggage on the final day. Our rooms were interconnecting which suited us as a party of ladies from the same family. Our rooms were comfortable and very quiet. We would definitely return to this hotel. Our only reservation was the lack of tea making facilities in the room.

Our second time here since 8 years ago and without doubt, a must-stay venue for those coming for the first time. Hidden in a small alley, it is a few steps from Piazza Repubblica and a short 5 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. A small covered square behind the hotel is where artisans set up shop for the day with a whole range of leather goods/trinkets and casual attire. Slightly different from the street merchants around San Lorenzo (about 10 mins walk). Rooms here are super clean, with fresh towels/toiletries replenished daily and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, much like their sister hotel in Rome - Hotel delle Nazioni.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel in the heart of Florence. Easy to find and close to many of the main attractions. Clean, light and airy. Staff very polite and helpful. Food was excellent and plenty of choice at breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and I slept very well. Happy to recommend this one to anyone visiting Florence

Great hotel to stay at to walk to all attractions. Staff where fabulous. Be aware that some rooms look onto ventilation shafts and have no natural light. We asked to be moved to another room after one night and were put into a lovely new room. Only problem is that the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom and we had to move rooms again.....hotel put us in their luxury room for the last night...... Also be aware of drinking in the hotel.....prices at the bar are excessive.
