Excellent cute boutique hotel with good breakfast in central Florence with great service, clean comfy room , blow dryer , laundry , walking distance from everything restaurants, attractions , shops - We will definitely return in the near future !
This hotel generally ticks all the boxes -its location is ideal on a quiet street and within about a 10 minute walk of all principle sights including the Duomo , the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio . The staff were all friendly & helpful especially Lucia . Our room was clean & quiet although with no view as it faced a wall as do a few interior rooms we think . Breakfast was good with lots of choice . There was a small bar in the lobby but we don’t know if it is in use for guests but there are lots of bars & cafes all around the hotel . If we had one negative comment it would be that the only English tv channel seemed to be CNN absolutely nothing else which had we stayed longer would not have been good . All in all we liked the hotel & would return .
Hotel Pierre is reviewed as a 4star hotel but in reality I will give it a 3 star. Room was very outdated especially the bathroom the shower was not cleaned and door shower broken and no joke I think it was never renovated since 1990 sink and shower nobs we’re the most outdated piece that I ever saw. Need major renovations. We always had to ask for toilette paper they would give us 1 roll at a time. Staff very polite and breakfast was ok. Location was good and near restaurants and retail stores.
The staff gave us a very warm welcome on arrival , most helpful throughout our stay. A good room, excellent housekeeping. Good breakfast to start the day. Very central close to the galleries and places to eat. Remember you pay a municipal tax when you leave. A lot of walking every one very helpful. WE ventured on the local train to Pisa which was an hour away well worth a visit. The Ufizi art gallery fantastic but get there early or else you will be in a very long que. Enjoyed sitting in the piazza in the evenings listening to the orchestra and people watching. Went to Napolene Trattoria for a birthday meal excellent then on to an opera and piano concert performed in one of the local churches near by, a lovely evening. Florenec is a beautiful city and we are pleased we got a great hotel.…
Fantastic gothic structure centrally located in old Florence. Can walk anywhere. Duomo, Uffizi gallery, Saint Croce, Galleria dell'Accademia(David). Ponte Vecchio. Great rooms. Great breakfast. What made our stay was the staff. So helpful, efficient and attentive. AnnaMaria, Lucia and Alberto made us feel right at home. Whether taxis, hospitals or really anything. Hotel Pierre gets it done! Grazie mille!
Central location, easy walk to most things for our family. Breakfast was great, nice dining area and lots to choose from. Rooms had an old world charm, marble and wood, high ceilings, very clean and all amenities. Ours was on the inside so although we had a window it had no view to speak of, but we weren’t in the room much so I’d didn’t matter. Would definitely stay here again.
Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Lovely building on the outside and inside, staff are extremely friendly and speak English also which helps as I cannot speak much Italian! The room was very spacious and stylish with amazing windows/shutters that open fully and you can watch the world go by. Very clean hotel and also satellite channels in the room for any fans of football. Very close to everything, IL duomo is only ten mins away, Ponte Vecchio is 2 mins, piazza de la republica is on the next street and piazza signoria is two mins away. Tons of cafes bars and restaurants to chose from. Breakfast was very nice also. We couldn't have had a nicer stay . If we find ourselves back in Florence this will be the first hotel we will be looking up.
Perfect location within walking distance of many sights. Our room was very comfortable and we particularly loved the bathroom. Room service was excellent and we were always politely greeted by desk staff. Only negative was that we felt the breakfast was distinctly average for a 4 star hotel, hence four stars not five.
Old-fashioned hotel. You still leave your key at the desk when leaving the hotel. Excellent central location, 5-10 min walk from everything. Excellent front desk, 24 hour service. Courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good, with the usual Italian items plus scrambled eggs for the outlanders. Very attentive staff, generous cappuccinos. Room was a bit by spare, but that's Italy. Good comfort. Would definitely stay again.
This was my second time in Florence and staying at Hotel Pierre. The location of the hotel is ideal with all the sites within walking distance. We stayed in a deluxe twin room, this was a lovely spacious room that looked out into the front of the hotel. We had to choose a time for breakfast each day so that numbers in the breakfast room were inline with covid guidance. The fresh food was served rather than self service but staff were very attentive and always happy to help. Our room was serviced every day and the hotel in general was spotless. I cannot wait to return to Florence and would return to Hotel Pierre.
