Great location but staff could be a bit better trained or have at least a little bit of desire to help out. With Florence being so beautiful, its hard to not like any hotel or restaurant, but this is a solid option as you will not be spending much time in the room. If within budget, would choose this, BUT... More

Stayed here twice now and on both occasions it was a lovely stay. Staff are friendly, helpful and take care to make sure you are comfortable. Good breakfast selection, amazing roof terrace with view across Florence. Only 5 mins walk to Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we could not have been happier! It felt like home while we were in Florence. It is a perfect, central location and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go since it was pretty much in the middle of everything. The service here was fantastic and the view... More

Check in here for two nights in Florence. The location is very central, close to good "local" restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the roof top bar has an amazing view. If I come back to Florence this is where I will stay.

We stayed here for 3 days of our honeymoon in June. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the rooftop bar was spectacular to be fair. We loved Florence but the hotel was generally impersonal. I used their parking service and I was told that I we wouldn't have to worry about the ZLT (limited vehicle zone) but alas I... More

The service was good and so was the hotel in general however we were placed in a room directly above an event room and had music blasting to the point where the floors were shaking. We were forced to partake in a party that we didn't even go to! Ridiculous how the management thinks this is an appropriate way to... More

Very convenient place to stay with all the main tourist attractions on your doorstep. The room was clean and quite spacious (room 249). My only complaint would be the mattress on the bed, it was very hard and uneven, it was higher in the middle which caused you to roll to the edge. I informed the management via the evaluation... We have just returned from the Grand Hotel Cavour in Florence, and the whole break was wonderful. The hotel was so typical of the Florentine style, full of charm and atmosphere. It is ideally located in the centre of Florence, and the roof terrace is as good as it looks. There are a lot of reviews saying it is noisy,... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
