We have had the good fortune to stay twice at the Hotel Lungarno. We actually had the room on the upper floor that Samantha Brown stayed in a year or two later and featured on her show. That room has a balcony that looks out onto the Ponte Vecchio. It is a magical and life-affirming view. Anytime someone says "I'm going to Florence" we always tell them that if they are not going to stay there to at least have tea in the afternoon at the Lungarno.

This hotel is a true gem in the very heart of Florence and really deserves its five star rating. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the staff are absolutely fantastic, the attention to detail is commendable. While many people might be afraid to travel during this unprecedented outbreak, it is certain that the staff are doing above and beyond in order to ensure that the premises are sanitized to the highest standards. The views are phenomenal whether from the breakfast room or at night if choosing a final cocktail to end the day. They say ‘location, location, location’ well nothing beats this place as it is a atom throw away from Ponte Vecchio while being still hidden from the tourists. Great recommendations from the front desk for anything from eating out to shopping and more. The artwork is also beautiful and if you don’t feel like going and seeing the many museums Florence has to offer, you can just stay in the lobby and read a book while taking in the incredible view. The only (slight and totally understandable) disappointment is that the one star Michelin restaurant is still not open but this reflect in no way on the property. Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay memorable! Fantastic in every way!!!! Go there and you will not be disappointed!

Flawless & simply outstanding 5 star superior service all the way from arrival to departure. The staff at the hotel makes the true difference and stands out. Delicious breakfast in the mornings while overlooking the river for a perfect start into the day & last but not least the interior design throughout the hotel that makes you feel like being home. One just can not miss out on this gem while in the area of Florence. I will surely be back soon!

Understated, elegant and calm. The hotel felt very safe and clean in COVID environment. Service was discreet, well social distanced and yet precise and accomplished. The studio on the 7th floor was beautiful and very spacious with a large dressing room. The location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel. A gem in this city.
