My wife and I stayed at Hotel Lungarno in September before starting a bike trip through Umbria. We were impressed with this hotel from the start when Simone checked up in and gave us a preview of the hotel. Our room which had a wonderful terrace overlooking the Ponte Vecchio, was lovely. We spent most sunsets on the terrace watching... More

Completely pampered at warm and comfortable hotel. Every detail was impeccable. Beautifully designed and decorated. View of the Ponte Vecchio and Arno hard to beat. Location makes a car unnecessary with everything within walking distance. Just the definition of a five star hotel. Worth paying to get a room with river view. Elegant without being snobby. The best place we... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our location---easy walking distance to most locations. Our two rooms had a view of the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio---I highly recommend requesting river view rooms. The staff was very pleasant, our room was decent sized, our breakfast came with the room and the hotel has a Michelin-starred restaurant in Borgo San Jacopo Restaurant. There is a... More

Amazing location, nice italian style, very friendly staff. Breakfast not many options though and no parking belong to the hotel so you have to park in the nextdoor underground parking and the daily rate is 35 euros. Great overall experience

The Hotel Lungarno is a fantastic hotel, situated on the Arno River, 1/2 block from the Ponte Vecchio. The perfect location for seeing Florence. The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful with reservations, directions and tips on things to do/see in Florence. The rooms are not large, but are well appointed and very... Four couples celebrating wives' 50th Birthday picked the Hotel Lugarno as the place to stay in Florence. The location is perfect; the hotel is cozy; beautifully designed (Ferragamo design and products) with an incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended as a home base for an active Florence adventure. Short walks to all major sites, located between the Ponte Vecchio... More

What was there not to love? The quaint small hotel on the river, removed far enough to have privacy, yet close enough to have connection. The staff were simply lovely. Had lunch outside looking over the river and the bridge. Food and service were wonderful and the view excellent. I had pasta with pesto and shrimp, Barb had smoked fish which was also good . If you are in Florence not a better place for a simple but elegant lunch

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
