It was an absolute treat to return to the Hotel Lungarno in Firenze. It had been almost 10 years and it is still a lovely property with an exquisite view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge. The staff was attentive and friendly. We appreciated Andrea’s help with securing dining reservations and suggestions. The rooms are beautiful and the Ferragamo toiletries were wonderful. The breakfast that was included was quite delicious as was my espresso macchiato! Grazie!!
Second visit to this amazing hotel. Just as good as the first if not better! This time in a duplex suite facing the Arno. Perfect room for our Family. The service at the hotel is very personal without being intrusive. Imran deserves a special mention. He looked after us on this visit and the last. Brilliant with my Son and Daughter and also set us up with a great table at the La Terrazza for some aperitifs with amazing views. Breakfast is fantastic too, and the staff at breakfast are superb. Finally, best of all, the Picteau bar is outstanding. Smoked Boulevardier is an unforgettable experience. Cannot wait to return.
We arrive at the Lungarno during a deluge on the Sunday of a holiday weekend - Liberation Day on Monday. Despite the crowds in the streets and the rain, the staff whisked us from our car with umbrellas and ushered us into the lobby with wonderful views of the Arno, a couple of Cocteaus, and a Picasso. The concierge checked us in early and took us to our room, a two story suite overlooking the Arno, the Ponte Vecchio…two full bathrooms, upstairs sitting area, downstairs bedroom. A private balcony on the Arno was a perfect spot for relaxing. Moments later, our bags arrived, and we were off to explore Florence in the rain. The staff fixed a broken cabinet door in minutes. They provided fruit and water. They answered all questions asked and could not have been more friendly, without being obsequious. Breakfast buffet is lovely with ability to order from the menu, too. A great library/bar/lounge with views of the Arno is a great place for an apertivo, too. We regret having to disembark from what felt like our private yacht floating on the river. Ciao Firenze! Grazie Mille, Hotel Lungarno! (P.S. 10% off at the Ferragamo flagship palazzo just across the Ponte Sta. Trinitia if you’re a Lungarno guest)…
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Lungarno in March and it was perfection. The hotel staff saw to all our needs, arranged restaurants, hire cars, even posted my post cards! Nothing was too much to ask. The hotel is beautiful, interesting and a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Florence.
Everything was perfect! The panoramic view was breathtaking! We had the best time here. When we had a special request, the staff solved it without asking. The whole staff were friendly, helpful and nice. We would like to say a big thank you to make our time here so much perfect! Special thanks for Imran who was really friendly and helpful with the whole family! It was our first time here, but not the least!
Andrea (Guest Relation Supervisor) was just awesome and is such and asset to this Ferragamo owned hotel. He made our stay so memorable there is no doubt we would return to this hotel any time we visit Florence again. I think Forbes missed the mark on this property....should be 5 star in my humble opinion. Mostly everyone was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is literally right on River Arno and close to all the things on the "must see" list. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed having a drink at the very scenic bar every night. Room was spectacular (Mahalo to Andrea)..beautiful, spacious, clean and great amenities. Smallest hotel elevators i have ever been in but I think this is common in many hotels in the area. Michelin rated restaurant on site. Very nice wine list and food was good but honestly a bit disappointing for a Michelin rated restaurant.…
Located on the river and near everything--the Hotel Lungarno is the perfect mix of authentic Italian hospitality and modern conveniences. The hotel is beautiful, our room was large with a view overlooking the Arno river and its beautiful bridges. The hotel is on a busy street so try to get a room that is on a high floor and faces the water. Usually, when in Italy we skip breakfast--but the Lungarno's breakfast is delightful and definitely a great way to start the day. Front desk staff are friendly and professional. Maid service is impeccable.
We had the best treatment at the hotel when we arrived in Florence for a birthday celebration with my fiance. They have upgraded us to a better room than we have booked and helped to organize the birthday events and even presents. Special thanks to Andrea and all the reception staff who have been super accommodating every day of our stay.
Everything about this hotel was top notch. From the doorman, to the front desk, bar, room service and housekeeping. Friendly and happy staff. Our room was small but perfect. Overlooking the Arno with every amenity we could have wished for. Florence is getting more and more noisy and crowded. Each time I go, I think it can't get busier but it does. This hotel is an oasis of peace. Highly, highly recommend. Very pricey but worth it, I think.
Special boutique hotel that makes you feel like a local in Florence. Some hotels are so standardized that you can’t tell which city you’re in. Not the Lungarno, it’s special. Beautiful design, wonderful bed linens, a spectacular breakfast room and breakfast offer, plus a professional staff that takes hospitality and Covid seriously. We had a very nice room on the seventh floor with a spectacular view of the Arno River. Very quiet and relaxing. Seriously, this is one great hotel.
