This has to be the best luxury hotel to see Firenze from. Firstly it's location on a beautiful park square just outside the hot spots of the city is ideal. It also has its own courtyard garden which adds to the tranquilty. We initially booked for 2 nights as part of our 12 day cycle tour of Tuscany but loved the hotel and Firenze so much that we changed plans to stay 3 nights. If you have a bike it is an even better location as just beyond the square there is a cycleway direct to the central train station which we used to leave the city and for a day trip to Luca/Pisa. The hotel is relatively small but that means you really get excellent care from all the staff. We loved the way they greeted us as we entered the courtyad and took our bikes for storage and then brought them out ready for us after breakfast. The hotel may not think of themselves this way but for us this is the perfect hotel to visit and explore Firenze by bike. The room and breakfast were exceptional and just what we would expect.…

Great hotel near the Great Synagogue in Florence. Rooms have a classic Florentine feel, which is what you would want when you are in Florence. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely have my travel staff recommend this hotel to clients.

Excellent stay. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Extra comfortable beds. Excellent bathrooms and water pressure. Wonderful very complete breakfast. Very kind staff that advised that we had left an item at the hotel, and arranged to have it sent to us to the airport by taxi. It was a wonderful experience and will return for a whole week next time.

We loved our stay (4nights) at Regency Hotel. The staff are amazing. The location is quiet, across from a park. It’s about 8 minutes walk from Accademia and about 20 minutes to Uffizi. We really enjoyed the amazing garden courtyard and the lavish, fresh breakfast.

I’m afraid we didn’t have a 5* experience here. The hotel is generally quite dated - but our room (which cost €800+) was filled with ants. They also have a mosquito problem in the garden. As we were all bitten alive when having drinks. They charge an additional €10 for avocado at breakfast. The very expensive Coca Cola I took from the minibar had a ‘peroni’ lid on it, which suggests it’s been rebottled somewhere. The hotel is fine but it’s not 5*.

This hotel is dirty and outdated and should not be included in small hotels of the world. We are avid travelers and seek out nice cute hotels and were very disappointed from the moment we walked in the door. Upon arrival there were filth on the toilet and the room was not cleaned properly. The fixtures and room in genera is worn and badly needed an update. Although the staff in general was nice we found the manager, Georgy, to be otherwise. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel there are plenty of nice hotels in Florence and this one disappoints. RH

However, please note that during your stay you never mentioned that the cleanliness and the style of the room were not up to your expectations, and I would like to inform you that it would have been our pleasure to relocate you to a different room if you had informed us. It seems that your negative review is due to the fact that you did not receive any refund for your anticipated departure. Five star plus! Amazing staff who were so helpful and accommodating - even when we had an early tour they made sure to put a lovely breakfast bag together for us all. The rooms are gorgeous and the location is excellent. Everything was just so easy with no hassle. A real pleasure.

Hotel Regency Firenze is located on a quiet park at Piazza Massimo D'Azeglio. Easy walking distance to Gallery of the Academy, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, and Pitti Palace. Great on-site restaurant. On two mornings my family departed before the 7 am start of breakfast for Cinque Terra, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa. Milo at reception arranged for Breakfast Boxes to go. Milo was friendly and helpful throughout our four-night stay, answering questions and pointing out sites. My family had two late night dinners at the restaurant that were fresh and delicious. Our rooms were clean and well appointed. We appreciate being warmly welcomed by the doorman upon returning from our Tuscan travels. An absolutely fabulous hotel.

A lovely warm welcome when we arrived, was very personable, the staff couldn’t do enough for you and helped us plan our days with things to do and places to eat at night, breakfast was very nice indeed. Only stay at this hotel if you want to be treated like royalty! Amazing staff and hotel. Super clean. Amazing food. Room was fantastic! Breakfast and dinner was amazing, we chose to have one dinner at hotel during our stay because menu looked really good. Highly recommend.
