The hotel is located outside the downtown city center, but an easy 15 minute walk to the Duomo Plaza. Located near nice restaurants. We enjoyed the location as it was outside the tourist locations, but all were accessible by walking. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with excellent choices. Overall the service was wonderful. We had a first floor room and the bed was extremely comfortable. Room was nicely appointed, and most importantly, clean. We truly enjoyed our stay.
My mother and I had a fantastic stay in this beautiful hotle! I would like to personally thank Flavia for all of her help before and during our trip to Florence. She was professional, courteous and friendly and her recommendations and bookings for lunch and the Uffizi were excellent! Our room was kept in excellent condition by the cleaners. We had breakfast every day on the Terrace and the staff were great, they remembered our preferences and we also had a drink every night and again the staff were friendly and courteous I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence. Thanks again to all the staff from Flavia helping book tickets before we arrived, to the front desk staff being helpful and answering any questions we had throughout our stay to the restaurant staff at breakfast and the cleaners! Also, Bernardo our guide at the Uffizi was excellent, very knowledgeable and engaging and made our trip there so interesting!…
We were lucky to have a room with a terrace and it’s a beautiful building in a lovely setting away from the crowds. Great breakfast and only had one meal in room service the food was not the best. Otherwise highly recommend it
After looking at many options on Travelocity, Regency really stood out as being the right choice. The service was incredible. The room was spacious and the AC worked well. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were cleaned daily. The outdoor space was very pleasant and a nice refuge from the city. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. They were also very helpful I. Organizing transport to and from Pisa airport. Five Stars
My family and I loved this hotel. It was understated elegance at it's best. A great value and a good location for a more local experience. I highly recommend it. They even had free bicycles for us to toodle around the city. W rode to San Croce Basilica, the Duomo and and major sites.
We stayed in this hotel in October so f 2021. Hotel is amazing, very clean, beautiful, stuff is super friendly and helpful. Location is great, while it’s in the center of the city, but on very quiet street. Breakfast delicious with a lot of options Will stay there again this June
Across the street from a small park, in a quiet part of Florence, the hotel was truly enjoyable for our one night stay. The location is near The Four Seasons a short walk to the Duomo. Rates are very reasonable for what you get. Staff is exceptional, especially Cristina who was exemplary and patient with us in solving some issues on arrival to Florence. Very relaxing ambiance. At breakfast, classical music piped in to nice dining room facing small green garden. All in all a great place to stay in Florence.
Elegant and intimate hotel in a quite and safe neighborhood and yet close to the central part of the city.We booked the junior suite which is a lovely larger room, large bathroom and a nice balcony .Service is impeccable and the on site restaurant has a nice menu with well prepared dishes.Breakfast is substantial and can be served outside, in the main restaurant as well as in the more intimate adjacent room. The hotel is very clean and housekeeping did a fantastic job with servicing our room twice a day. Will be staying here again when back in Florence.
We had a very nice stay for 2 nights but as we paid 186 euros for a night in Tolomei which had all the comfort and more we could ask for the price for a room at Regency was quite a bit higher. Sure, room was good but it was rather small. The garden is nice but small too....Breakfast is nice but not that spectacular. The champagne is a nice touch but unless you are newly wed is not a thing you want to do in the morning. Staff is super attentive and all in all we had a nice stay but price is a bit heavy in comparison......
We have not checked out of the hotel yet but the initial negative experiences have made me write this review. We checked into a suite that has a bedroom and another room with a sofa bed, so meaning that at least 3-4 persons can stay in that suite. There were 2 TVs. On arrival both TVs were not working properly, I was surprised that the management did not check their TVs in their suites to ensure that everything functions properly. So I called for assistance, granted it was May 1 and a public holiday, so their technician was not working, so they sent up a porter. How can a porter know how to fix the 2 TVs? Certainly one cannot blame a porter. On the same evening, we asked for more coffee refills for the coffee machine because we like to drink a lot of coffee. We were given 5 refills. On May 2 after a day out, when we walked into the hotel, we would expect another apology for the malfunctioning TV, perhaps asked what they could do for us. Instead we got told that the coffee refills from yesterday were given FOC but from now onwards, they will charge us €3 for each coffee refill. It’s not the charge but this is supposedly a small luxury boutique hotel. We are staying in a suite that had malfunctioned TVs and they want to charge for a few extra coffee refills. This shows that Hotel Regency does not qualify to be a small luxury boutique hotel but more likely a 3* common tourist hotel. Don’t expect small luxury hotel standards with small pleasant surprises. Instead Be prepared for unpleasant surprises if you are staying in this hotel.…
