short walk from the main firenze SMN station, near the main square and lots of restaurants. the staff were friendly, without even asking they gave us a map and started marking attractions, food, the routes to walk there and places to shop based on our age (19 & 20). also lost our luggage and had problems trying to get it... The pictures are awesome of the reception - but the rooms are old but large The position in the city is great - but the noise levels are high - so if you want to sleep ....it is a problem Easy to get around when walking , but shocking to get parking , I would rather stay a bit farther... More

Dear Brett1712, Thank you for your review. I know, drive in Florence for the first time is crazy and expensive, but is not our fault. We have an agreement with a garage located just a few steps from us at 25.00€ for day. About the room i would inform you that we have renovated all our rooms, so i invite... More

Hubby and I stayed for 3 nights at the lovely Hotel Cantoria. The hotel is located 5 mins from SMN station and 5 mins from the Duomo. 1 min away from the lovely leather/souvenir market. From the reception and breakfast room you can actually see the Duomo, which looks amazing, especially at night. We were pleasantly surprised when our room... More

My daughter (11) and I visited this hotel, and stayed 6 nights. We stayed in a King room DeLuxe. There was nothing missing, they thought at all the details. We had peace and quiet during the night. It is very clean, wifi was stable. Raoul, Marco and other employees are very friendly and always available. I hope I will again... More

Great location, close to shops/cafes. We arrived after a long travel from Rome, it was quite easy to find from the train station. The lovely person on reception gave us the wifi password and some fresh orange juice. Although check-in wasn't until later, we were allowed to leave our suitcases in the reception whilst we went out and explored. When... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July and to be really honest, we wouldn't recommend it. The room smelt like cigarette smoke the whole time we were there and when we asked to move rooms, the owner just sprayed some toilet spray and assumed that would help. The noise from the road was really loud, but to make matters... More

Great location, really nice hotel and, best of all, breakfast in bed. The hotel is really close to all the attractions and santa maria novella. The hotel is budget friendly but still its really nice. The staff goes above and beyond to help out.

The hotel is in a super location, 5 minutes walk (with cases) from the station and airport bus drop off point, near to the Mercato Centrale with the major sights within easy walking distance. There is a good supermarket near the station, on the way to the hotel. The rooms are clean with good facilities and have air-conditioning. The breakfast... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
