The room was so large and so well set up that it left us speechless. It had a canopy bed and a table that was 10 feet long. I guess we were put into the honeymoon suite. Sorry, just not used to it after numerous European rooms with just enough room to turn around. If not staying in this room,... More

This is a magical place to stay. We went as a family of four. We had a fantastic "suite" with a breathtaking view of Florence from our terrace. It was truly jaw dropping. The palace is filled with incredible art. Would absolutely recommend the Palazzo Tolomei - it is beyond expectation. Daniella and her team were lovely and wonderful hosts.... More

I stayed at the Palazzo Tolomei with my wife and 6 month old baby boy for two nights. The Palazzo is a stunning old building from the 15th century, built as a statement of love by an enamoured wealthy tradesman for his apparently quite impossible wife. The result is absolutely stunning, each room enjoying high ceilings with beautiful frescoes, a... More

I stayed for 2 nights with my husband and 8yr daughter. We had a fantastic stay. The welcome we received was phenomenal. We were greeted personally by the owner, who was rightfully very proud of the beautiful palace. The hallways, stair cases, courtyard all beautiful and original. Our room, or should I say penthouse suite was enormous, beautifully decorated with... More

First the positives. (1) The location is excellent- on a small street very near to many of the major attractions of Firenze. (2) The owner (who lives on premises) and the staff are very friendly, quite knowledgable and will go out of their way to help in any way they can. (3) There is an interesting history to the building... More

The location is great. it's just a couple of blocks from the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore. Uffizi, also not a far walk. Great food and shopping all around. The owner ended up upgrading us due to a last minute cancelation. The room had magnificent frescos on the ceiling. The history of the palazzo was in the room for visitors... More

The entire experience was extraordinary. Do yourself a favor and stay here! Palazzo Tolomei is not only a hotel, but a historic monument in its own right. Upon arriving at the century-old gates of the hotel which is located in the CENTER of Florence and a two minute walk from the Duomo, Uffizi gallery, and Accademia gallery, you will realized... More

Loved our five night stay at this hidden gem. Daniella, who's home this beautiful palace is, welcomes her guests with much Florentine warmth and style and is ably helped by her lovely staff. You know it's going to be different when you are given a set of five keys and told to treat it as your home. Behind the huge... More

Stayed in this hotel on a trip with my husband, and we were so happy we did. It's a bed and breakfast set up in a spectacular Renaissance-era palazzo. Daniela and her staff are incredibly kind and welcoming and arranged for us to have dinner in a beautiful restaurant for our anniversary. Daisy gave us a map and suggested a... More
