Location of the room is great! close to the center of everything. Bruno the owner does not speak english, so it was a challenge to speak with him! Overall it was ok, We got room 3 assigned to us, but it does not have a bathroom so we had to use a bathroom that was designated to us, unfortunately other... More

Stayed here for three nights back in July 2014 whilst travelling through Italy. First of all, the location is amazing. 15 minutes walk from the train station at the most and no more than 10 minutes to pretty much anywhere.. Set right in the middle of the centre but still really quiet inside due to the pedestrianisation of the city.... More

You'll feel like a local living here in a great neighborhood close to everything with all types of restaurants, shops, and just steps away from a small grocery market. Owners Bruno and his daughter Ricciarda are very helpful providing information that will make your stay a wonderful experience

We just returned from Florence where we stayed at the Dante apartment. This is part of the Badia Fiorentina B&B and is right next door. The apartment sleeps three and is neat and clean, the kitchen equipped to make simple meals. Wifi was very good, the hosts have also provided several adaptors to plug/charge your gadgets. Bruno and his daughter... More

So let me make this clear. We did not get to stay at the location advertised. We decided not include breakfast with the room, and apparently based on this decision, we were asked to stay in a studio apartment adjacent to Ponte Vecchio. The problem is that we did not know this until we arrived in Florence by train from... More

Dear guests. I'm sorry you had the feeling of having been moved to a different place from the one booked but it is not so. If you look at your reservation you can see that there is written Apartment Ponte Vecchio, and in the description says 'Annex Studio' in 10 minutes walking. My father perhaps didn't explained well that you... More

This B and B, which is also the home of Bruno our delightful host, is located close to all the main Florence sights, none were more than a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast was lovely, orange juice or water, cereals, fresh coffee, freshly baked rolls and croissants, a selection of jams and honey, cold meats and cheese, delicious pear cake,... More

Let me start with the ONE negative, for those slightly infirm visitors. The rooms are one floor up and the stairs are quite steep. I repeat, this is the one, and only, negative aspect. We arrived in the pouring rain but, luckily, the next three days were cloudless and quite warm. We were greeted by Bruno, a warm and extremely... More

The location of this B&B was spectacular; it was minutes from most of the major attractions, which allowed us to stop by for a quick break throughout the day. Our room was beautiful and very clean; we even got upgraded to the room with the bathroom inside even though I paid for the room with the bathroom across the hall!... More

Nice price, clean accommodations, tasty breakfast (though heavy on the carbs, I couldn't resist the breadlike cake AND warm croissants); best of all is the incredibly great location, just minutes walk from Pallazzo Vecchio, steps away from Casa Dante and around the block from the Barghelo. Wifi is available only in the common room, and the TV didn't work in... More

Location: The location couldn't be better for a first time visitor in Florence, as it is very near many tourist attractions, but far enough from the noise they may generate. It is also a few steps away from a grocery so emergency needs are easily accessible. The place itself is quite safe. We received 3 keys upon checking in: one... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
