Wow! That sums up our stay at Il Salviatino! The hotel is perched and overlooking the historical city of Florence with the Duomo dominating the view. On arrival, we were looked after by Paul, the concierge. He was so friendly but always remained professional. All the staff were so friendly. Nico looked after us during most mealtimes and deserves a special mention too! Our double deluxe room was big and very spacious with very tall windows overlooking the beautiful gardens at the front of the hotel. The bed was so comfy with a great mix of pillows to suit all. The air-conditioned room was much-needed as it was so hot. Our stay was based on room and breakfast but we chose to eat at the restaurant a number of times as the quality of the food was fantastic as was the wine menu! The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the historic centre which was great. The driver was so friendly and helpful. He was so patient allowing me to speak the little Italian that I have learned. We had breakfast served in our room one morning as we arrived back at the hotel so late after the Andrea Bocelli concert...at 1.45am!! Lovely to be spoilt like that though!! The breakfasts were always delicious with plenty of choice. We used the swimming pool a few times. Lovely heated pool with helpful staff providing us with towels on arrival and drinks too! To sum up, if you want true luxury, then Il Salviatino is the hotel to enjoy!…
Amazing property and restaurant...All of the staff at the hotel is perfect. The view-the grounds and the pool makes you never want to leave the property. Highly recommended. Great place to unwind and slow down life! I cannot wait to return
Me and my girlfriend had the most wonderful stay at Salviatino. It was a true inspiration to walk around the property as everything is so well thought through. Our room was big and spacious with the most comfortable bed. We received a warm welcome and all staff was great, especially Gabriele working at the pool area, making sure we had everything we needed before we even knew it ourselves. Also, a massage is a must! The masseuse was incredible. We will definitely come back!
It’s really high quality hotel with very professional staff in the hotel and Spa center. The location of the hotel is perfect with view on Florence. I enjoyed my holiday in Autumn in this hotel. Thanks Lily from Spa center! She is professional therapist.
Outstanding views location and service if you don’t want to be right in the top of a mall and see some beautiful view and enjoy the quiet in Florence This is the place that’s besides that it’s absolutely stunning outside and inside with nature trails to walk and birds too
Il Salviatino was exceptional. the property is a beautiful 600 years old villa located 15 min outside of Florence, the decoration is filled with pieces of art, and they have kept the style so it feels like you went back on time. The food is really spectacular, not traditional italian food, it's gourmet. The service is really good, staff is very friendly and attentive. The shuttle to Firenze was a great plus. the Spa was better than we expected and the massages were really good.We will definitely come back!
I could see the Villa hidden in the treetops as we ascended the hill on our arrival. IL Salviatino is breathtakingly beautiful whether you are enjoying a meal or cocktail overlooking the exquisite garden or spending time in your Italian bedroom/suite. The food, service and spa was incredible. Wonderful place to enjoy the view of Florence in the distance and luxuriate in the beauty and tranquility of this spectacular hotel.
Everything exceeded expectations. Stunning Venue, Unobstructed Duomo and Countryside Views, Incredible, Romantic and Elegant Room, Attentive Service, Excellent Food, Great Wine Selection, Customized Attention - all truly fantastic. Above and Beyond!
The location of the hotel and the views are truly amazing, but the food is far from being a fabulous Italian cuisine experience. I've visited a few hotels in Tuscany and dinner at Il Salviatino was far from being impressive - it lacked any flavour or taste, any pasta dishes very super average. Great marketing, but nothing special at all
This hotel is one of the best, if not the best, hotel we have ever stayed in. The views are phenomenal from the terrace and having breakfast there everyday was a highlight. The selection at breakfast was very good as well with a wide range, although a nice touch would be to offer eggs more than one way but not essential and I am sure on request it would have been done. The hotel room was exceptional and house keeping were amazing always leaving our room immaculate and music on in the room. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant so can’t comment on this. The pool was great, it has two small pools ideal for relaxing and a longer pool for doing some swimming. The service down by the pool was always great and the life guard could not do enough for us. The gym was also very good, something we have struggled to find on our stay in Italy with a combination of weights and cardio equipment. Couple of minor gripe but as 5* it would be remiss to not include them. The shuttle only goes from 8.30 with most tours starting at 9 this leaves taxis as the only option. We were charged €40, reduced to €30 at threat of reporting to the administrator, by a local taxi driver. The hotel were quick to complain on our behalf but running an early shuttle would avoid this. The second minor bug bear is the cost of drinks at the bar. The view is amazing and the staff very helpful and nibbles came with the drinks but €18 per aperol spritz is excessive, given we are hotel guests and hence the view is part of the hotel package. Even the 5* hotel in Rome we stayed at the week before was €12. Note this was price was not exclusive to spritz but a simple G&T was the same price, for a stock gin nothing fancy. This capped our drinks to one a night given that for two rounds we could get a fantastic wine in a restaurant. Overall this is a brilliant hotel and we would recommend it for those wanting fantastic views and rooms with enough time to enjoy the whole estate. …
